under Gary Mac/Eric Black - we had nobody on more than a 12 month contract - and lots of loans etc
if we are losing 7 we need to bring the kids through and get 4 or 5 season long loans - Remember when birmingham waltzed our league with bendtner and larsson
problem is this year, is that we did not think about loans until too late
I'm sure we thought about loans - we tried to get drinkwater and shelvey but couldn't compete financially. Birmingham would have been paying a decent loan fee and % of their wages.
I think it's more of the case that we don't have the money, not that we don't want to use the loan system.

So we are saying Brum didnt waltz the league with a couple of decent loans...... they loaned Bendtner bought Larsonn and McSheff. Plus were able to sign players from prem clubs suggesting they were paying a fair old whack in wages.

Yep. Most loan deals include a loan fee on top of the % wages the loan club pays. That was what the big dispute between us and Bolton was re: Danny ward.
