Town Turn Down Blackpool Offer for Scotland

Tue 30th Aug 2011 22:33

Town have turned down a £350,000 offer from Blackpool for striker Jason Scotland. TWTD was first to report the Tangerines’ interest in the Trinidad and Tobago international frontman earlier today.

Blackpool appear likely to make further overtures for the 32-year-old, who Coventry, Birmingham and Middlesbrough are also believed to be eyeing, before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Wednesday.

Scotland, who has a year left on his Blues contract having signed from Wigan for £750,000 a year ago, had dropped down the Town pecking order, but scored one and created another after coming on as a sub during Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Leeds. The former Swansea man is currently understood to be back home in Trinidad.

Well if they want money that has to be us priced out surely?

Remember we could have 750,000 from turner plus 500,000+ from dann sell on, whether that will be spent.

Funny how he's in Trinidad, but "his" Twitter account says he was at the ricoh today! Another nail in the coffin for the fake Jason!

It's real, like The Tooth Fairy, Father Christmas and Hoffman's bid.

I hear we only get 10% of profit Birmingham make on Dann so if he goes for 5 million (reported figure) we will only earn 100-200k from the deal.

We were going to pay like £350k for Le Fondre anyway weren't we? And now we are better off!
Although with Parkin we don't really need another striker (unless juke goes)... we should be looking at midfield now. Plus this whole Jason Scotland thing was crap to start with.

I respectfully suggest that even with the Juke and Parkin, we still really really need a goalscorer
