I suspect Sky will have half an eye on the prospect of us securing promotion at Blackburn. The chances increase if our game is on after Ipswich v Boro.

More chance of that being the game vs each other where it means the loser cant catch us.

Would them playing on the Tuesday now not mean we would be more likely to get the Friday as we have no midweek fixture? And them the early ko Saturday.

Friday night is the premium slot for viewership with no PL competition, and Ip v Boro is clearly the best game of the weekend so it feels a no brainer.

I wouldn't of thought Preston v Oxford was premium last Friday night

Yeah I know an Ipswich fan who has contacts with the club and they've been told they're likely to be on Friday night.

i think before the final game - Ipswich run in will be

Sat Norwich A
Tue Portsmouth A
Fri Boro H
Wed Charlton A
Sat WBA A
Tue Southampton A

They will struggle for points in every single one of those, and a lot of miles and late nights for them with no recovery time

Another factor is an elongated international break, which could impact their rhythm going into the Birmingham game.

Getting ahead of myself a bit here but Ipswich’s game at Portsmouth has be rearranged until April 14th meaning their game vs Southampton most likely isn’t being played until late April. Very real chance that we end up getting promoted in the middle of the week while not even playing.

I'm very happy with a games congestion for our nearest opponents. The last time we had one was when we made the SF of the FA cup and we all know how that ended.

I reckon some shenanigans will go on like an extension or something as they are really struggling to fit them in

Or it suits them like a cup competition?
