Even if we draw with Swansea but beat Ipswich, we’d still be in an excellent position.Win the next two and we’d probably be as good as promoted really. It would take an unbelievable collapse to throw away the lead that we’d have.
But equally, lose the next two and suddenly we could only be 5 points ahead of them and things start to get a bit nervy.
I think that’s spot on but no fear an no pressureIs this the biggest game (Excluding the 3 play off semis and the Chelsea cup 1/4 final) since the Ricoh/CBS opened?
If we win Boxing Day we could extend our lead on third to 14 points, maybe as much as 17 depending on how they get on at Millwall a few days prior...
Think he will be out injured… went off early SatIf there's one team I'd like to see us stuff. it's Ipswich.
And throw in a belated red card for Hurst while you're at it.

It's simple for me. Play the players that are 100% fit against Swansea. 2nd or 3rd choice will do. Give the extra rest for those who need it.
Swansea have lost every away game since the start of November so don't travel well. The CBS is a fortress. No game is a given but I'm not worried about this one.
Then go the best side we can against Ipswich. Their recent away form isn't brilliant.
Oxford 2-1
Blackburn 1-1
Leicester 3-1
1 point from their last 3 away games. We're won 8 drawn 2 at home. Good chance won 9 drawn 2 before we play them. They are away to Millwall before they play us. They can't afford to play a weakened side. If Millwall win they go above Ipswich. Should be a good game.
It could be our full defence missing plus others. Not going to relax until I see the teamsheet.Swansea have lost their last five away games. So one we should really be looking to win at home, even if we have a couple missing.
I take no notice of the Swansea lot. Grimes was supposed to be shitehad a quick look at both forums earlier. Swansea seem to be quite confident going into Boxing Day mainly because of our 1 win in the last 19 matches against them thing. Fair enough.
The consensus on the Ipswich forums seems pretty convinced of a win. We are "creaking a bit" and "nothing special". That will be a tough game.

It could. But we know we have the virus in our squad. We know it has hit our players badly. Not heard a thing about them and if they have it.It could equally be the same for them.

It's certainly a good time to have a big gap between us and the rest.
Was just thinking this.... our players playing with it and all the end of game shinanigans at close quarters, shouting in each others faces is likely to have spread it their way. Shame. There is a reasonable chance it will start hitting Southampton.
Southampton are not on my radar. They need 0.7 points more than us every game for the rest of the season just to catch us up. Then there's the 25 GD they're also behind. There is a reasonable chance it will start hitting Southampton.

I agree, but I'm only concerned on the effect it's having on us right at this moment. Would be happy if our opponents started getting it after it's over for us.They aren't on mine. My point was really the flu/virus whatever it is isn't just going to be contained to us.
