Weigh up what you use, if you use popular apps ie facebook twitter whatsapp tapatalk then there's no reason why you be limited to thinking IOS, what do you currently have?

iOS at the minute. Only really use the popular apps. The missus has just got an Samsung s6 edge and it's quite good, but after 5 years of iPhones and IOS I'm worried I'll android if I take the plunge!

to be honest, i originally went andriod because i prefer a t9 style keyboard ,and theres never been one for ios

i also despise the apple machine , the way it makes you pay for everything, android , everything can be free, you can user development your device, do what you like with it

if the ipod failed to even allow me a t9, then its some limited shit right there

or install a n64 emulater and play wwf no mercy

basically it has freedom like a pc

ios is for sheep who need everything to look the same with no individuality

I use iOS...only because I've had an iPhone and iPad for a number of years. I'm not a techno wizard and am used to it. I haven't a clue re the merits of either in comparison. Just use and enjoy what I have got.
Perhaps I should take the plunge and go for a change next upgrade. Or maybe not

also i like that android devices cam be used as USB storage devices too

Yes, this is a big factor for me. I hate iTunes popping up and you have to do everything via that.

You plug in your droid, it comes up as a normal drive. You just drag and drop files, mp3s, videos etc.

You also can make ringtones etc straight from mp3s, think you need to fanny around with iPhones and convert them (well, you used to, its been a while since my kids stopped using them).

You also can manually download Flash for Androids later than 2.1, many of the movie and sports streams still use Flash.

Has to be iOS. Never had a problem of note with software or hardware from Apple and have been using them for years. Customer service is spot on if it did too. That includes several iPhones, iPads, Macs and one watch. Can't see me ever going elsewhere. If I did I wouldn't go near Android. Would go for Windows.

One of my businesses used Android phones and tablets (not my idea). After a couple of months we gave up and went to Apple. Software issue corrupted a back up and we lost loads of data. Find the devices are not as reliable too. Lost count of the amount of replacements even in the relatively short time we had them.

From a development point of view, ios is great as it works more or less the same on every device. Androids however are far trickery due to the huge amount of different hardware components.

Did you get the Edge or standard S7? I've got the Edge and it's flippin ace. Have you got a Gear VR?

I had issues with Android from HTC to Samsung. Stuck with Apple since then and never had any problems.

Missed out in tbr Gear VR, is it any good? I just went with the standard S7, I really like it.

I got the new HTC and so far no problems, I have had the last 3 HTC's to be honest. Was totally apple until i took the plunge to go Android, and I haven't looked back ever since. I was getting fed up with the lack of updates which apple bought out each tike they bought out a new model.

The Gear VR is ace! Obviously you need to accept that VR for us normal punters is still in its infancy but that doesn't mean for a minute it's rubbish.

From the reviews on the Oculus store some people honest expect to be getting a full on VR experience from all apps rather than being chuffed they're part of the first steps in this technological advance.

I'd definitely recommend getting one and actually as you have the standard S7 will get a slightly sharper screen experience than me on the Edge as apparently the pixels on both are the same, so the Edge is slightly at a disadvantage on sharpness when viewed at the close proximity required for the Gear VR experience.

Android 100%. Windows (nokia) is very restrictive and won't allow installs of many programmes. IOS battery lasts far less time than android.
A few progs are IOS only, but as a rule Android will have another version of it. Also with Android if a prog won't install you can go to security settings, tell it to allow all installs and then after change it back to official ones only.
I use Megabox HD, lastest films and tv series and always up to date, Mobdro and give me all the UK, Irish channels including Sky Sports, Movies, Setanta Sports, Premier Sports, BT Sport etc plus itv, BBC etc, but also gives you bein Sports Arabic (so every prmier league game free), most of the boxing, Box Nation, international footy etc. beIN Sports France, FOX sports Italy and so on........ All for free and you can stream it to your tv to enjoy big screen.
