There is an interview with Robins on “YouTube” 16 minutes long. It’s been posted by someone called “The Pink Un”. Never heard of him/her but the interview sheds light on the Palmer sale and other things. Much more informative than the BBC one.

Robins looks knackered, bless him.

Makes me nervous every time he talks about transfers and says 'that's not my remit now. That's sort of taken away from me.' The answer to the final question was a little worrying too.

Good honest down to earth words.
In Robins we trust. Keep calm and carry on.

The Pink Un are the news sports section for Norfolk. Mainly focused on Norwich.

I try to tell people several times that Robins doesn't have much influence on transfers anymore and am always met with derision.

Would not expect anything less. Robins has always been someone to be honest and open about games.

Although, his opinion on the Doyle challenge on Sakamoto seems a tad harsh on the defender, but I think it's his frustration bubbling over due to Tats' injury against Preston.

And our player deemed a pen, don't know if booked as a result against Leicester!

Which was not a penalty, to be fair. The referee making the wrong decision in calling a foul Saturday does not make the referee calling a foul on Dewsbury-Hall correct.

Doyle seemed a bit of a dick and probably would have been fine with taking the player and not the ball, but he got the ball and player, it's a fair challenge.

It's a bit risky him saying we should dish it out too, given just last week Wright being booked for defending himself, until referee's see what's there?

Why was his answer to the last question worrying to you? He only gave his opinion on the transfer window

I think he was hinting that some of our players were the subject of bids on deadline day and they would be aware of that interest via agents.

Decent questions asked and much longer than what we usually see posted on youtube from the ccfc channel, would be great to have this after every game

Is this AI driven content because the bed wetters will tell you that Robins is furious, feels undermined, hates the new coaching set up, feels let down by recruitment , we are regressing, etc etc

A bit embarassing guys isn’t it unless we think Robins isn’t telling the truth …….

To put Robins comments about KP into layman's terms “KP is a moody fcker and when he doesnt get what he wants or things dont go his way he will chuck his dummy out and down tools so we got rid whilst we could for a fee”

seemto remember the same thing happening when he was at Bristol and he wonders why he was booed by Brazil fans and JDS got a welcome applause. Weve also seen a similar attitude on the pitch when he lost the ball and instead of trying to win it back he just stood there waving his arms around like a petulant child

The more I think about it, I wonder if transfer deadline day the day before the match has impacted on some players mentally.

Palmer leaving and then some of those players would know which clubs were after them. That whole team didn’t look right mentally.

Even Robins doesn’t seem right mentally this season for some reason. Has he become too reliant on Adi and actually needs him?

I dunno.., doesn’t seem a happy camp right now.

I actually got a hospitality seat on Saturday, pretty much pitch side.
And what I saw from players close up was fear, lack of confidence and heads dropping. Fear of making a mistake, not really wanting the ball, and if you get it get rid of it quick, not taking people on.
They do seem a quiet introverted bunch, more so with characters like COH, Hamer even KP gone.
The crowd need to get behind them and try and be positive.

The crowd did its best all things considered. But the lack of leadership is very clear.

Good interview. Bits I took away from it…

“we weren’t in a position to offer Kasey a new contract and then you know what Kasey is going to be like” - obviously sounds like he didn’t think he warranted a new contract and wasn’t giving enough when he only had a year left and he explains he agitated the move himself.

And the bit about leadership / aggression and the dressing room where he says “one or two have shown a bit in the dressing room after today”. Any thoughts on who that might be? My guess is Bassette and/or Eccles.

Don't disagree.
You look at our team though and think how many of them really think they are good enough to play at a higher level and have that drive.
MVE. Wright and Simms probably have the potential but need to let it out fully. I'd add Bassete to that but v early days.
You do worry about Robins ability to positively motivate.

Our good teams had a mix of older pros with standards, younger players with ambition, and outright winners like Vik. Can see a bit of the latter in Bassette, but I don’t see that dog in a lot of our new signings. And our experienced pros (Wilson, Bidwell, Allen) don’t seem like the right characters at all.

MVE looks the business, Wright when he’s in the mindset does too. The rest look insecure. I really hope that it doesn’t rub off on someone like Bassette who looks like he’s got something about him too.

One bright spot is I can see the rumoured Simms for Billing transfer as fixing a bit of this.

Bassette if he’s been brought in to ultimately replace Simms being a bit more aggressive, Billing comes in with PL standards and experience in the middle. Sheaf becomes made of the Weetabix stuck on your bowl after a day and not the stuff in the packet. Suddenly things look a lot brighter and more balanced.

Which at least suggests someone in the club sees the issues and is trying to rectify them.

As others have said - several players wanted off. Didn't get what they want and now have to suck it up and realise playing for Coventry is better than working in McDonalds. Massive speculation and I probably shouldn't but I wonder if that might have something to do with our first choice CB pairing sitting on the bench.

That would require there to have been transfer interest in them, which I find unlikely though not impossible.

The best thing that came out of it for me, is the fact that he is obviously telling the players he expects more aggression from them.
It’s way overdue IMO,and I expect to see a few opponents getting clattered for a change.
Teams should know if they want to come here and win, they are going to have to earn it.
We have the depth to take the odd suspension now.

I think it affected the crowd which in turn affected the players. You could sense real frustration at the midfield situation.

Oh yeah I want them to be talking about it after the game in the dressing room. Can’t have everyone being quiet mopey types, a few need to step up.
