Early doors - Osti on bench v Gibraltar. Good news (can't get injured !)
Wales - Joe Allen gone off injured (Stoke - don't mind, as long as he's out long enough to miss our match!)

What i don't get is why a two week break. Who would we miss apart from Osti? It would've made sense to play Rotherham rather than them playing 4 times in a week.

Fair point, though Mcfadzen would also be out suspended so I guess that would leave us a bit light at the back without those 2

Suits us more than Rotherham, though?

I realise Saturday was a disaster of a day for us but I had no idea it was quite as bad as it was. Today I was advised that on the other side of the country at Holker Street Barrow following the end of their match the scoreboard flashed Barrow 3 Coventry City 2. They forgot that their opponents for the past 90 minutes were in fact Crawley Town,

We must be the only football club on this planet that can suffer a dismal goalless draw with the bottom club in the division and at the same time lose a division 2 fixture.

It occurs to me that they only rectified the error when they realised that Coventry City could not possibly have scored two goals away from home.

Lyndon Dykes (QPR) is playing for Scotland tonight He's had a bang average season, but still wouldn't mind him picking up a knock over the international break.

For people bemoaning Max's finishing. 4 x sitters by England in first 12 minutes (Ward Prowse then scores !!)

Thought when it happened if it was our game they'd be getting slaughtered. There was more than one or two at the weekend as well by top Prem strikers. BBC put up a stat, no idea how accurate it is, of who converts the most chances to goals, top was only 1 in 3 which seemed low to me.

To be fair, England will probably score at least 7 tonight, but those 4 chances in the first 12 minutes were comedy gold - we'd have had pages on a 'Max' thread about that, followed by a 'what do we do on the training ground' thread !!

This is so boring, when you think about the gulf in qualities 4-0 is a bad result.

Agree about the boring bit. I watched for a bit, but when it's a game against the likes of these, Luxemburg, Liechenstein etc I find it hard to engage (unless it's at the actual finals stage (at which the likes never qualify anyway). Impressed with Bellingham in the bit I've seen though - we have so many classy midfielders now. If we could nail down the Centre back and keeper positions, we'd have half a chance.

It's our equal worst result ever against them.

Its a pity he didn't take Max with him so he could steal some of the gold dust off Haaland
