I am frustrated by WASPS getting the Ricoh but its no point fans on her slagging off the WASPS club. I think there will be a lot of general rugby fans with no allegiance to any club go to their games.

Makes me sick, bunch of hypocrites

I will be cheering on every wasps loss.

Absolutely no need to move to the Ricoh, they could've stayed in the London area, upton park was available.

I expect there will plenty of interest early on then it will dwindle when they start putting up their prices back to their normal levels of £40 per adult.

Some will and some won't. There seems to plenty on here who gave a fuck about our year away yet are rubbing thief hands with glee.

Sadly this is what has happened with our return (not £40 though obviously).

Thought there would be initial interest but didn't think they would come close to selling it out. Are they all sold or have they not put them all on sale yet?

Fair play to them if they have sold them, they also seem to have a ticketing system for the Ricoh that can cope with more than 3 people trying to buy tickets. Maybe SISU can ask if they can use it!

I think that is as accurate as saying there are plenty on here who didn't care about playing in Northampton but now seem unhappy that Wasps have moved grounds.

What makes you think they will go up. Obviously if its sold out every week supply and demand says they will but maybe they think more people, and therefore more of the infamous pie money, is better than an empty ground with high prices.

If people go and what they see is good and they have an enjoyable day they'll go back. That's where we've fallen down every time there's been a big crowd.

Their game at Wycombe vs welsh (?) in a couple of weeks is £40 per adult. That's about the average for the league. And we know they won't be getting much of the pie money as they only make c10%, works out at about £110k per annum.

Do you think they will sell out every week? Do you think it will impact on ours and CRFC attendances?

I never asked as I found what the desire to go bizzare enough in itself, so I just quizzed about that. Also I only found out the other day tickets were on sale.
I assume you might now accept that I was not wumming unless 25k fans are from Coventry or Wycombe?

I really don't get it.
There seems no loyalty in rugby other than nationally

Shows when people laughed at the idea of a rugby club up rooting we did not actually understand the psyche of a rugby fan.
It's very much like NFL

But they've got 3 times as many seats to fill now so may decide to keep them lower. Neither of us know. They could stay the same, they could go up or they could go down (unlikely but possible). From a business standpoint you'd only put them up if the market could sustain it.

I have no idea if they'll sell out every week. I wouldn't have thought they'd come close but then I thought they'd do well to get 15K for the first game! Know little about Cov RFC or rugby in general but at a guess the initial impact will be minimal at most - given the size of their crowds I suspect they're down to a fairly hardcore supporter base as we are. The bigger danger is in a generations time. People who grow up with Wasps here will become fans over Cov RFC I would imagine.

Again. Why do rugby fans always mention football when someone slags rugby off. I didn't mention football. Why not bring up tennis or chess?

Most people going are not CCFC fans.
Myself, I have a passing interest in top class rugby and have no affiliation to CovRFC. I also have 2 CCFC season tickets.

IMHO we moved to Sixfields because Sisu wanted the Ricoh for themselves (not CCFC) and I stayed away rather than be used in their plan.

As I've said there is a demand for top class rugby in the area.
I would prefer us, even Sisu, to have control of ACL but for lots of reasons it will never happen.
We will be okay if we get a good rental deal and access to all football related incremental incomes.
SISU need to work with Wasps to achieve this.

No don. There's a range of tickets at a range of prices. The most expensive ticket for that match is £35.

Wasps have revealed ticket prices for their debut match at the Ricoh Arena set to take place against London Irish on Sunday, December 21.

So far, the cheapest adult ticket for the Aviva Premiership match is priced at £15 in category 4 with the dearest coming in at £35 for a category 1 ticket.

Under-10s will be given free entry, 10-16 and 17-21 will pay either £8 for category 4 tickets or £10 for the other three categories while senior (+60) tickets range from £10 to £23.

A family package is also available at £38 consisting of two adults and two concessions in category 4 seats.

No we won't. Clubs need access to 365 day year revenue, not just matchdays. No can't see wasps giving us access to those, without us compensating with large rent.

Well the remark was made by a football fan not a tennis fan. Typical remark from uneducated football supporters Always make out that Rugby fans or other sports must be gay such a homophobic view. I suppose all football supporters are just more manly.
So I was a Rugger player for 20 years why wouldn't I take offence to such a childish remark.

We will be okay if we start winning, get the fans back and get out this league.
Theres no other option know so we might as well get on with it.
