Not really interesting tbh. I've heard the story before.

Would help if Jan could distinguish between investment and general expenditure.

in that article, were Fishers words, or rather tired phrases, those of sisu ?
why have they never addressed their abysmal mis-management of the club ?
where is the more transparent communication with the fans ?
& are they 'right & proper' owners ?
there's a fans forum due this coming thursday,
several fans (season ticket holders) have emailed requesting tickets, this being the means of gaining entry, & none of those i have spoken to have received a reply,
sisu - explain,

Don't agree as I think it is interesting and unlike other attempts fairly accurate...obviously we've all heard it before...we live through it every day as we're long suffering fans put through years of misery by a succession of clowns. The point is this is a national newspaper article highlighting all the shite we've had to endure and spreading that news outside our depressing bubble. I'm grateful that while most of the national media have forgotten we exist at least one journo is keeping others informed of our sorry current plight.

I totally agree George Hudson..feel exactly the same. My post was more directed at Fernando saying he'd heard the story before. We all have and I just think it's heartening that we've not been completely forgotten by the wider football world as I think ours is a story that needs to be told.

Interesting. A Sheffield fan warned us that we would drop into media ' oblivian', yet we are newsworthy for a national paper? I think that indicates how serious a situation that we are in...

A minor point I know but I seem to recall that it was a Southampton fan that told us that we would fall into oblivion.

Is it actually in the paper? The link is to their Football League blog, the vast majority of which doesn't appear outside the page.

Glad that someone in the media has taken an interest in the clubs dire situation. Hopefully it might generate some concern from someone, somewhere, with a big bag of cash and encourage them to invest. It's so sad to see Cov in this state.

'good' article and the coverage is welcomed by me - thanks guardian. Transparency.......hmmm, I'm wondering if anyone ever got a response from the council re. Freedom of information requests? Before your eyes glaze over, I submitted one for any correspondence between the council and Sisu re stadium negotiations/ meetings. Considering how pernickerty Sisu are about headed paper, the council informed me they don't hold any correspondence...?! not even any emails to arrange meetings. Council are a public authority so I find it odd all negotiations and meeting arrangements are done by word of mouth...Sisu are private sector but even so, council might have at least told my why my request wasn't covered by the Foi act or why they are exempt? Perhaps this is for another thread..

The situation at Coventry City is bleak, as bleak as at it was at Glasgow Rangers and is at Pompey.
I have my doubts Thursdays forum will happen.

Interesting a few comments here about 'media oblivion.' We all know how the media in this country are fixated on the Premier League. The lower divisions are just ignored. A thirty page Sunday newspaper football section will be 25 pages of Chelski etc. & tiny mentions of the rest. It kind of reflects the stupid national preoccupation with 'celebrity.' Over real news. & sad to hear Robbie Savage & Kevin Davies pretty well dismissing City yesterday on FOOTBALL FOCUS after the chat with Kevin Kilbane, 'well, Coventry, only third division.' Savage saying - 'I wouldn't go down to that level myself.'
