The Accrington manager John Coleman said after the game last night on sky that he was talking to some 'very big admirers of McNulty' who think that if he got a bit fitter he could play at championship level.

Now he could have just been talking about his mates down the pub, but I got the impression he was talking about another club or manager.

If we stay in L2 then I think he'll go. But if (when!) we go up hopefully he'll stick around for another year.

There is a strong rumour that he wants to go back to Scotland so may leave anyway if a suitable offer comes in

He'd score a shitload in Scotland.

TBH we will be hard pushed to keep a number of players if we don't go up

Outside the OF no Scottish team could afford him. Championship teams would be gambling on someone unproven above League 1. Sunderland though...

I doubt he’s on much money here and as I understand it it’s more s lifestyle thing

Think that we'd be hard pushed to keep a starting 11, I'd guess that atleast Burge, Willis, Davies, Stokes, Grimmer, Bayliss, Shipley and McNulty will all have serious interest.

If we don't go up this season I think we'll finish ~12th next year

I mean more in terms of the fee. Most Scottish sides have peanuts to spend on transfer fees.

Even if we go up Bayliss will be tough to keep.

He seemed pretty committed to the cause last night, as has increasingly been as the season has progressed.

MR gave him his full backing when some of our fans (classic idiots) were against him early in the season and his confidence has visably improved. We’ve also given him more starts this season than he’s had for a while. I think he’ll repay that as long as we go up.

I also think we’ll keep Bayliss as long as we go up.

I fear that wages could become a big issue especially if we go up. Keeping players who can increase their earnings elsewhere will be difficult and quite a lot will be in to the second year of their2 year contracts, another problem as transfer values shrink, and trying to increase their contracts could be costly.

Not championship but the other day someone tweeted the Peterborough chairman asking if he was interested in any of our players and he said wait until the playoffs are over which to me says he is but don’t want to distract the player so could potentially be McNulty

I think he'll be the only definite. We've bought the youngster Zain Westbrook (apologies for spelling), have Andreu and Jones to come back, plus next season is Ponticelli time next season (my opinion!), so whichever league we will have a firm base (coupled with Wembley income and Maddison £££s to bolster the budget). Positive for next season for me.

To play for fatty Evans? Can't see that - our fans/club versus Peterborough? Can't see them paying/offering much (plus hardly any nearer to Scotland?)

How optimistic of you the day after we reach the playoff finals...

Our whole team is under contract, Robins has already said he isn't selling McNulty, so it's going to take a big bid to prise him away from us. Moreover, we still have Andreu and Jones to come back too, so I think we're in good stead going forward.

I’d say to him: give us next season let’s see if we can go up again and then talk about it and if he still wants Scotland let him go. So long and thanks for all the fish.

Obviously if we don’t go up this year he’ll go in the exodus.

The academy has been our lifeline and something we can all shout about. Gives me a bit of confidence that we can replace the likes of Bayliss as and when he's sold.

We hold all the aces this summer. Gonna take a good fee to take our stars away, McNulty included.

I’d imagine tho if a big name SPL club come calling that might be difficult for him to not consider

Out of interest as is the title what is the general feeling on here of his value with 12 months left on his contract, to me his market value is likely 500k/600k tops

If he had a 3yr contract I'd be asking for 3 mill but with 12 mths I'd say 800k max

I think any club in L1 would be mad to overlook McNulty on this seasons/calendar years form.

I think he’ll go promoted or not. Just hope we get a justified fee!

I'd be surprised if we sold for a penny under £1-1.5 million, how many L1 clubs could afford that? We'll keep him and risk him going on a free transfer if we stay in L2, he'll be far too valuable to let go regardless of what league we're playing in.

If we got promoted, you'd hope that with Jones and Andreu coming back, hopefully, we'll use that momentum to try to bring in some really good L1 players and challenge for L1 playoffs in the next 1-2 seasons.

But, let's not get ahead of ourselves, we still have Exeter to overcome first.

Jack Marriott went for 450k to Peterborough. That’s a good idea of the market price

It's a seller's market, how many strikers in the football league have scored more than 17 goals in 2018? None, only Kane and Salah have the same/more goals this calendar year. A team will pay whatever they think a player is worth, and I cannot see us valuing either Jones or McNulty under 1-1.5m. We rejected an offer for Bayliss 'rising up to 1m', and that was when he was on the team for barely a month and a half. McNulty has scored 28 goals this season, and whilst Bayliss is undoubtedly a better talent, McNulty is a more valuable player for us.

I wonder and I'm probably clutching at straws here, but lets say we get promoted.Would players maybe think twice about leaving with the fan base slowly building and the tremendous away support we get?

Cannot see us getting a fee north of 600k for a player from the 4th teir no matter what impact he’s had with just 12 months left. If he had 2/3 years then maybe at a push 750k

He holds far more value to us to keep than reluctantly accept a market figure for.

But your right it’s a sellers market and we need that first striker from L1/L2 to be sold for hard cash to put the years market in place or a bidding war

I'd like to keep him but realistically someone from the bottom half of the championship will take a risk on him at about £750k. Mo Eisa at Cheltenham would be a fantastic replacement though.

It’s double down or bust , as a contract for him . Now Aberdeen , Hearts and St J looking at him . Just to be clear sky sports is available in Scotland , everyone is talking about him from Dunbar to Dundee . Even if we go up I think he will be gone , McWanky eh ?

Kenny Daglish was a massive Rangers fan but it never stopped him signing for Celtic.
