I didn't say that, Campbell should have got a yellow card, he clattered him any way you look at it. You can't go from moaning about people overreacting about the challenge to call out a player for doing a standard move..

It's fucking weird to be trying to blame our player for getting injured. Making out like doing a turn isn't normal goal keeping nowadays. Pathetic

That’s not good. Is there any truth that rumour we’re after another young GK from the Swedish league, Kees Sims?

Sad for the kid - moving abroad at his age for this to happen.

But, as we know - things move on quickly in football - we now NEED to sign a new 1st choice keeper in the summer.

That’s rubbish. Poor lad.

As others have said however, things move quick, new NO.1 GK required in summer either perm or loan.

If you could pick one player to not get injured it was probably him. Fucking typical.

We all suspected this didn’t we - hoping for the best expecting the worst situation.
Absolutely rubbish for him and us.

I mean how often does this happen to a keeper?
I’ve said my thoughts on it on here before - blame totally at Campbell’s door here and I would like to think the prick has apologised.

it will also be tough coming into a struggling premier league team half way through the season on the back of that - we need an experienced keeper for next season, who Dovin can pick back up from towards the end

A season-ending injury to MVE, Wright, Thomas, Grimes, Rudoni, EMC or Sakamoto would be more damaging. There are obvious worries about Collins but at least hypothetically we don’t have to change anything about the way Lampard wants us to play.

We were fine without Wright, a lot more fine than i thought we would be. I know what you're saying but lets talk after we've played a few games without Dovin... let's just say i hope you are right and i'm wrong.

i think we need to start supporting collins alot more, for our own good, we also dont have a choice. lets get behind him and stop the trolling, nothing worse than fans digging out their own players.

Ignore new keeper talk for now. Lets give Collins or Wilson a chance. One of them could take us to the premier League this season.

I hope they step up so we can avoid singing anyone new till dovin is good to go again

if we went up you'd be happy with Collins or Wilson starting in the prem?

If we went up we could sign an experienced Premier League goalie on a 2 year contract and ease Dovin back in the 2nd half of the season.

No I'm basing the no new keeper on us having another season in championship

In prem it would need to be a case of thank you but one of you gotta go and one of you gonna be back up.

That's two consecutive trips to Bramall Lane

Two 3-1 defeats off the back of a good run of form for us

Two ACL injuries (O'Hare last time and Dovin this)

CBA going again

Genuinely gutted for him. I would shift both Wilson and Collins in the summer and target an experienced keeper on the periphery of a top flight squad.

Wilson has just signed a new contract, who were you hoping as a number 2 behind this experienced keeper you want to sign?

Well that’s what I’d prefer but it clearly won’t happen after a contract extension.

The reality is that Collins is 5 years younger and has played considerably more first team football.

During games I have, but it's difficult when he's letting almost every shot in and the ones he is saving he's parrying straight back into the middle of the area for the striker to get the rebound.

Obviously should he play I hope he doesn't do this anymore and keeps clean sheet after clean sheet, but if he does even if you're trying to be supportive it's hard not to get a bit exasperated and annoyed.

oh i completely agree, there was alot of uncertainty for each GK for a while, Collins has to step up now, there should be no more anxiety on whether hes going to be picked or not, grab this opportunity and run with it

If lets say by some miracle we get promoted, and he plays a key part in it, then hes going to get either a new contract or a good move somewhere else, fluff it and he could be without a club very quickly.

shame, you can't also just say he's out until December as ACL recovery can take longer than that

he's a keeper so there will be less strain on the repaired area but it will take as long as it takes

Well thats their estimated time frame. They will obviously need something to work towards, they can't just plan recovery and say "well it will take as long as it takes"

Is that estimate for a return to playing or a return to training?

don't sworry about estimates, no one knows

Alex Morgan took 5 months to recover and start playing again but some people can take over a year
