Jesus - some city fans on here showing some serious lack of knowledge when it comes to the background of these players, their potential and the model we work to.

I can't be bothered to read this whole thread but everyone seems hung up on the left foot so must be playing LCB thing. Couldn't one of them play the Fadz position?

I thought MR stated last week that he was looking at bringing in 4 defensive minded players, so if so that leaves 2 still remaining. One could be as cover/ replacement for Fadz. If not I would have thought Hyam was the most likely to step into that role as Fadz starts to feature less.

No way are we having 6 CBs three on loan on the books.

Two from LWB/RWB/GK I reckon.

Panzo has 24 appearances in ligue 1 , averaging 80 minutes per appearance ..

Surely it's a level above the championship?

So overall then we are in agreement that the league is stronger than the championship ,and finishing bottom doesn't indicate you are worse than a championship team .. brilliant ..cheers

You seemed to disagree with that , when actually you've just told me you don't

2022 premier league

Well it's a silly point to be fair .. the French league is better than the championship and worse than the prem .. the championship as shown is MILES behind the premier league

Ligue 1 is better than the Championship and Belgian Prem is better than SPL. Just to be very clear.

Realistically we needed two or three first team players (without losing anybody).

We do seem to be going for quantity over quality in the defensive department it seems anyway. Lose one of our best players and with rumours of Moore being desired is a bit worrying. Palmer and Wilson to take over from them both? Well that would be absolutely barmy as well.

Next up is replacing the deadwood (Wilson, Kane, Rose, Kelly, Allen, Waghorn, Walker) and all bar Allen are out of contract in the summer. I think that’s when you might see more depth in those positions.

Even if you do think that, so what, he played a few games for a side that were terrible in that league, so it hardly makes him a world-beater. Ditto Forest Reserves-I was under the impression that we saw ourselves as on a par with their actual FIRST team last season (after all, we did beat them I think, or was that a dream? ), so accordingly, signing their absolute-emergency backup player as a regular for our side is a rather underwhelming.

That all said, I do hope he wins Championship Player of the Year as we storm to Promotion!

I think that the point I made , that he played 20 odd matches in a better league , is a true statement .. not sure where we go from here mate

We beat them opening day of season under Hughton, they beat us at City Ground fairly easily and then were promoted.

Under Cooper they were the best team in the league I think points wise

They also have some good centre halves in Cook, who has a wealth of premier league experience , mckenna who plays for Scotland and Joe Worrall who was a sensation , not an easy team to get into

You shouldn't be trying to pass off your opinions as facts then, should you?

My last word on him for now-unimpressed with his experience, but hoping to be surprised.

Wouldn't you
