Impact of Two More Relegations? (1 Viewer)

It's pretty clear that there is a fair to good chance that we could suffer relegation both this season and next season. I'm sure the majority of fans would doubt whether Otium will file accounts leading to a further transfer embargo, plus the lack of revenue drastically reducing the wage bill the club have to work with means we could find ourselves in the Conference for the 15/16 season.

If the club move ahead with their stadium plans we know that there will be opposition to planning permission on any site they identify leading to a lengthy process, appeals, legal challenges etc. With that in mind clearly we are very angry with the Football League allowing the move to Northampton, but if the club drop out of the Football League would that impact any bond? Do the Conference share the same regulations on a club playing within their local area?

Within two years if Sisu still haven't managed to get moving on a new stadium within the Coventry area they may have further motivation to move the club somewhere else (not even Northampton necessarily) and circumvent any obligation they've agreed with the Football League.

No chance they will be back in Cov

The Warwickshire Sky Blues will be in a 8k stadium which is shared with speedway and dogs

Good point. The Conference do have different rules for FFP. The league one used to be based on a forecast followed by 6 monthly updates which could be requested for every new signing if the club was close to the 60%, but the Conference used to request audited accounts to prove sustainability for the forthcoming season. That would be a huge problem for SISU as they never submit accounts and when they do their Chief Executive says they are rubbish!

If SISU are still running CCFC in 3 years time (more likely they will have cut and run or liquidated the club by then) the chances are they would be playing in the same league as any Coventry phoenix club, if allowed into the Conference.

You will only need an 800 capacity stadium by then

And the away fans will still sing your grounds to big for you
