Imagine 6 years ago we could be attracting the likes of these candidates..? (Lampard, England U21’s manager, RVN, Eustace and even Warnock at 100/1! Not to mention the stand in Englland coach all be it already mentioned! And we as CCFC supporters are angry (and rightly so). But I beg to differ and many are secretly all excited. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

I think some people were excited when John Sillett got the sack and we had Terry Butcher come in as player manager.
Let’s hope things go better this time.
Are Lampard and Van Nistleroy going to be better than Robins?
I would just hope that King and whoever is advising him really have a plan as to the way forward and that whoever they appoint fits in with that plan and are given the time and the resources to accomplish it.

Look at Sunderland with Regis le Bris. It's the person, not the 'name' that matters. If the person fits our club, I don't care if it's RVN or Danny de Vito.

Early days on Reggie but has certainly started well. Had a 30% win percentage at his only other club and got them relegated in his second season before being sacked.

There doesn't seem to be any particularly logical pattern to identifying a successful manager which I guess is why I am just waiting to hear who it is rather than getting excited about any particular candidate.

Bothroyd managed the under 21's after us. He also managed the under 21's in 3 Euro Championships getting to 1 semi-final and not getting out of the group stage the other twice.

Carsley however managed the under 21's in 1 Euro Championship which he won.

And even Edwards at Luton who has a worse points per game then Robins over the last 2 years.

Imagine 6 years ago, being a normal club and not being grateful to just exist.

That's the key thing here. A club that could easily get 25k+ gates being taken down to the depths of L2 by owners that didn't know how to run a club.

What are the current odds on DDV? Will he bring Arnie with him? As I don't rate his work without him.
