i agree, that would leave us needing 2 wins from 6 with 3 at home

BUT a draw would be so valuable too, especially if bristol lose

i know,damn pompey cheaters

burnley are bottom of form table and pompey are at home again, doesnt bode well

if one of them HAS to win i would take pompey win, forest lose and bristol lose and cov pick up at least a point

i like the thought of pulling forest back into the mire and also have to hope pompey squad isnt enough to keep their run up,especially away

but who knows, maybe pompey will be team that pulls off the great escape? lets hope not

oh how football changes day to day, the life of a fan ey?

Makes you realise just how hard it is going to be for us to stay up this season, need at very least a draw at hull

At least.

Draw will be great if others fail. Others win, like Pompey and Bristol and we are back deep in the mire once more.

Bristol would be 3 points above us and Pompey would overtake us.

Bristol City v Derby's the most important match for us. I can see Forest and Pompey winning their matches convincingly.

Bristol City are the most catchable and we could do with them going into our fixture without high spirits.

Just had a look at Portsmouths remaining fixtures an if they do win on saturday I can see them getting out of it, all there remaining fixtures are winnable there hardest game is Southampton away but anything can happen in a derby. Hope Burnley beat them as don't want momentum

Given how far behind we were at christmas we have to be well happy with our current position, that being said, I'm worried about Hull away and the teams around use having winable games.

Another reason to hope forest are still down there last game of the season.

The fact we are still in the mix is amazing, remember we have to play a lot of teams around us

Peterboro H
Bristol C A
Millwall H
Doncaster H

Win these and we will be safe in my opinion

Hull A
Burnley A
Saints A

Anything from these is a bonus.

We have a very similar run in to pompy, they are decent at home and the fact they have 1 win more home game left than us could potentially swing it for them as well. I could see pompy getting 10-12 points in the last 7 games.

Win our home fixtures and get a point at Bristol should give us a great chance. If we mess up one we will need to pick up a couple of points at Burnley, Hull, Southampton.

Hadn't seen Pompey's fixture list :S Even though they were shot on Saturday, I'm not not sure if we'll get as many points as them

My Guess for what it's worth is;

Burnley H - Draw

Southampton A - Lose

Millwall H - Draw

Donny A - Draw

Palace H - Win

Derby H - Win

Forest A - Draw

That's 10 points, giving them 43. Do think they might possibly beat Burnley this Saturday, but will plump for a draw and cross my fingers that Burnley turn up!

Wuss! Is this your 1st relegation battle as a City fan?

I bet most of us are hardened battle veterans by now, laughing in the face of imminent relegation, showing our battle scars (white hair from stress) with pride, confident that, by hook or crook, the City will claw their way out of the darkness and into the light. Again.

Yeah and if the Titanic was painted Sky Blue it would have bobbed up and down 34 times before it finally sank.

Only 3 ships/teams have done a better job of avoiding that iceberg.

I think a point against hull would be awesome.
Most of us in previous precitions posts, in which people still said we may stay up, did not put us down for a win there.

In my book a point there after the Cardiff point would have us well on track.

Hvae to say though would have loved peterborough to still be more in the mix, I dont think they have the legs for it...

Hull are going to be so up for it though.

One they know we will be massively up for it
Two they lose they can kiss the chance of the premiership goodbye.

If that is not incentive for a player to get motivated for 90 mins, ie all the hard work you have put in so far will count for jack.
Give absolutley everything now and the dream of trebling your wages is back on....

They will be so up for it. A hard fought dirty horrible negative point would be great.

Dont think we should get too downbeat if it is a defeat though
