I understand that 99% of you will not be attending and I respect your view. SISU want us to be playing in Coventry, why wouldn't they? A move outside the city lowers revenue and ruins the relationship with the fans, if there was a suitable ground within the city we would be playing there. This isn't an issue of SISU wanting to leave the city, it's an issue of city wanting to leave the Ricoh.

The club was suffering a slow death under the Ricoh deal, that is undeniable. The action taken by SISU was horrendously executed but it was necessary for the survival of the club. The way our fans blame SISU 100% is puzzling, the council have been complicit with the mismanagement of the club for decades, ACL have been overcharging and making money out of the club (800k p/a).

SISU have been terrible owners that is a fact. But when have we ever been a well-run club? SISU clearly want success for the club, why else have they not sold us? They want to unite the club with the stadium and sell us, if they achieve that club will be in its best financial position for decades, perhaps ever. So what the NOPM strategy achieve?

SISU are no mugs, Tim Fisher will know attendance will be very low and will be making plans based on this. NOPM will not "starve out" SISU, it might kill the club. The fact that some fans have been talking about creating a phoenix club while the club is still alive is not right.

Who do you want to replace SISU? The bidders clearly didn't have the money they claimed to. Hoffman and Elliott have been involved in the mismanagement of the club for years.

ACL forced the club into administration last season to prevent liquidation. This season they forced us into liquidation. Why?

This has turned into a bit of a ramble but I'll end it with this.

I have no allegiance to CCC/ACL/SISU, only to CCFC. I'll be at Sixfields because I support CCFC, I won't be at the Ricoh supporting a landlord who gained control over my club due to mistakes of the previous regimes.

A simple question who would you rather come out of this mess better, SISU or ACL? If SISU succeed the club will be back in Coventry paying less rent and receiving match day revenue if ACL succeed the club might well die.

I don't subscribe to that tbh. Each to their own. Those who want to go can go. It's sounding like they will have plenty of space to spread out in.

I think anyone who thinks ACL haven't played their part in this whole escapade is deluded.

I also think that anyone who thinks SISU aren't the majority party to blame is deluded.

Simple question: If that's the case why didn't they accept the 90% rent reduction down to £150k?

While there is much of that I agree with, it doesn't explain why SISU feel they have no choice but to take the club to Northampton. If they really do want to build the club a new home, why can't they thrash out a deal to play at the Ricoh in the meantime? The financial impact of doing that would be far less.

While I recognise much of what you say about ACL, the move out of the city is unnecessary and hugely damaging, hence I will not follow them to Sixfields, but I fully respect your right to do so if you wish.

Welcome to the forum BTW - but you are about to get a lot of abuse. Brace yourself.

Im confused by your line "the council have been complicit with the mismanagement of the club for decades", so are you saying the council are right to try and force a change of ownership or not?

No match day revenue would be my guess. The fact that ACL were willing to reduce rent 90% shows what a bad deal it was for the club and why something had to be done about it. However SISU's bully tactics clearly were not the right choice.

Take the blinkers off. There are plenty of other possible outcomes to this. For example, there is a very real possibility that SISU will (finally) realise that they are never going to get their hands on the Ricoh and decide to cut their losses by selling the club. The new owners are then more likely to go back to the Ricoh and buy a share in it. So CCFC will have new owners, part ownership in the Ricoh and will get its supporters back.

It is not a matter of whether we support ACL or SISU, we all support CCFC and many of us believe (or just hope) that starving SISU of cash will bring about this outcome sooner rather than later.

That been the case then it wont do any harm!

My reasons for wanting a low crowd go beyond financial, the fact that ccfc will be playing in front of their lowest ever league crowd on sunday should get a few headlines.

An awful lot of unsubstantiated rumours and propaganda has been used to come to that conclusion 98. What have you based sisu's desire to succeed on? Cannot be their investment in players over the years because it simply hasn't existed. Fisher explicably came out saying that if they do not get what they want, then liquidation is a real possibility! These are hardly the words of someone determined for the club to succeed! Sisu took great pains to suggest average rent in league 1 was £170k. Where did they get these figures from? When they were offered lower than the average why did sisu reject it?

There is another reason why they haven't tried to sell the club - as it stands there is simply no value in it ! Sisu by selling the best players systematically have ensured other than rabid fans will have nothing to buy! Also you have assumed Hoff couldn't get the money - despite sisu rejecting an offer! You cannot make the logical leap that Hoff couldn't find the money - What was sisu's asking price? £70M is ridiculous for a league 1 side!

Every single argument to justify sisu's stance is hardly watertight - indeed there is hardly any single part that is credible! You seem to be trying to justify your going to sixfields possibly from a sense of guilt? Hardly. Sisu onoly want the ricoh to use as a dumping ground for their toxic debt - how else do you exlpain running up such debts in their relatively short tenure! If the rent was the main issue, then the debt would be £1m year for 5 years - debts are massively larger than this!

Course you have a right to go to sixfields, but stop pretending it is for the good of the club - because it isn't! How is supporting the team playing home games 35 miles from its true home possibly supporting the club?

when SISU rejected the £150k deal it proved conclusively to me that they weren't interested in the fans or the footballing side of the business. Thats the point that i lost any last bit of respect for them. There's no other interpretation you can put on that decision.

I also think it weakened their position because they were no longer 'sitting tenants' and thereby relinquish preferential claims on the ricoh.

It was a rent negotiated for a premiership club. They never got there as planned. ACL budgets would be set for this income. The restructuring of the debt made the reduction possible.

150k for league 1 and 400k for Championship is fair.

£1.2M would be peanuts in the Premiership.

Just a slightly differing view..
It was a rent accepted as a business cost, whilst acquisition of the Ricoh was achieved. If Premiership football had been achieved, then a bonus, but it wasn't and I cannot see much sustained investment in the football side of the business that suggests Premiership football was SISU's primary objective.
The acquisition failed- the rent was withheld to restrict ACL's business model- hostile takeover the objective. Another failed strategy as ACL were bailed by the CCC -the council taking such actions and thus protecting their investment isn't a bad thing in my view.

150K for League 1 more than fair
400K for Championship more than fair
£1.2 for Premier League again agree, probably the status quo?

Why didn't you put the words 'charity game' in bold rather than the rest of the sentence?! Whispering the charity part doesn't really help to emphasise your point! Besides have you got any evidence of this? Because all I've seen thus far is speculation from those with an anti ACL/CCC bias.

There is no good reason other than sheer spite for Sixfields.
Council are bad but Sisu are beyond the pale and have zero credibility having lied constantly.
NOPM is the only weapon decent fans have.
