I’m going - quite enjoy the cup games and often a chance to get a look at some of the fringe players. Would be cool if Biamou could start and got his first goal.

Why must they be mad to go and watch their team play football?

It's £13 for an adult, not really ground shattering.

It's £15 to go and watch Wycombe at Solihull or £20 for a seat to watch Exeter vs Heybridge.

Yes, and all those examples are too expensive, including the Maidenhead game!

That's how much it costs though. I'm not sure why people get so shocked by it.

It's £14 to go and watch Nuneaton vs Spennymoor and £2 more for a seat.

No one is shocked, people simply just don't buy the tickets.

Yep - they are the league below us (sad, but true), it's the FA Cup and the price has been cut substantially - hardly daylight robbery. I understand why people may not want to go, but (for me) the price is an excuse/irrelevant as an argument. Just be honest and say - 'it's Maidenhead, and we aren't going to win the Cup anyway' !

They seem to be shocked, are we expected to be undercutting teams 2 leagues below us?

What do people realistically expect?

Maidenhead are only in the league below us, so no guarantees of winning but we should.

Also think people need to have a look at themselves when they find every excuse not to go up, then get outraged when we don't spend a shedload in January to bolster the team (although I know it's SISUs fault as well). Turn up, then you can moan.

I don't have so much of an issue with this game in particular. Although I'd argue a tenner is more than enough. My issue is generally with the cost of league games, and other fans that don't seem to understand why the price is putting people off.

It's more the league games for £25 that are ridiculous. It doesn't matter if 'we are undercutting teams from lower leagues', the principle is the same. Football is too expensive. Especially a club that has perfected the art of pushing away its fans in droves, people are looking for reasons not to go. £25 a pop plus other add ons you need to make the day happen is simply too much.

Not many are shocked, people just won't go. I don't see why you are so shocked that people choose to vote with their feet. If many people are saying it, it clearly is an issue.

Because the price isn't an issue, it's an excuse. Yes ideally football on the whole will be cheaper but in the lower leagues we are getting the scraps of the TV deals that give the Premier League teams stupid money.

I know about 4 or 5 people who put it down to price and say they won't go because of it. Every one of them can't go to a game without spending a fair whack on beers, they will easily spend more on awful beer than the ticket.

Like you say "add ons" to make the day happen, cut down on the add ons so you don't need them, get a match package and you are suddenly saving money. Even if it is between 3 of you then you can get 2 games out of it and save money that way. I know not everybody can go to every game to justify a season ticket, but there are still ways to not pay £25. The fact people pick the most expensive on the day price as a reason not to go sort of shows that, order it in advance and you save money. Sit in the Standard Zone you save money.

People would go if it was £30 a ticket if we got Man Utd or Chelsea at home, so the price is irrelevant. It's more that people don't want to watch League 2 football or Maidenhead in the Cup. If it was £13 against Man City on Sunday people would be creaming themselves, so it isn't the price.

Would probably have swerved this Sunday's FA Cup tie, but now feel compelled to go after that performance on Saturday. Hopefully catch 90 (ish) minutes of Ponticelli, and I would think Shipley will be given more game time. Anybody else feel reinvigorated by Saturday's result - if I'm honest, I think I would have found an excuse to miss it had we lost against Lution (which actually shames me, 'cos I love the club!)

Exactly, so what you are actually saying is that it is overpriced for the team we are playing against!

The price is relevant to me if it was a fiver I might go but I will not pay £15 to watch a non league team whether it's the going rate or not is irrelevant to me I don't think it is value for money so will keep it in my pocket and save it.

It's not about saving money or whether loads of city fans are doing something though?

If I was going to go to a rugby match I'd go to watch cov (whether they are table topping or not), but im a ccfc fan.

No, I'm saying if you are a ccfc fan why does it matter on the opposition? If you just want to go up if we play Chelsea to see their players, doesn't that mean you are a Chelsea fan?

Not you as in you, but you know what I mean.

Surely you go to watch City, not the opposition?
That said, if you think it's too expensive for you, then fair enough,
Can't say I've ever put a price on who the opposition are though - just looked forward to the game a bit more/or less.

They have sold around 447 pre sales, so will bring around 500 very decent away following for non league.

Will be 4500/5 k minimum.
