Where I'd be disappointed to fall away and NOT reach the playoffs ..

11 games left , toughest games at home , in 5th with some decent fixtures left for us on paper

Said similar on another thread. I don’t think we’ll make it but it’ll very disappointing if we drop out now

This run cannot go on forever. Even the big clubs rarely win 8 out of 9

We will lose at some point and it's how we react to that loss that will define our season

For what it's worth, I think our next defeat comes at Bramall Lane. They're a good side, and we have a fucking woeful record there

Outside of that I genuinely think we can get something from every remaining game

It goes without saying its in our hands now.

We're still so unconvincing at the back though, we'd still be heavy underdogs against Sunderland or Burnley over two legs in my eyes, regardless of the form table.

No way

The points rates of those aside from us says to me 68/69 gets you in this season

We’ve got ourselves into prime position in 5th place. It’s now on us to stay in that top 6 and not fall off. Big mentally needed to do that. Let’s hope we can!

We are only 1 point inside , I think winning 6 drawing 2 and losing 3 feels about right no ? You think we can afford to drop 18 of the remaining 33 points ?

We've been on an amazing run without actually playing that well, one day we will click and absolutely batter someone.
Hopefully that will be at Bramall Lane, by which time Sheaf, Patterson and Wright will be match sharp.

The problem is Derby, Plymouth, Luton and Hull will be fighting for their lives, so potentially not easy fixtures.

Just got to try and keep the winning form going.

53 points from 35 games is our best at this level since 2002.

Our record at Bramall Lane isn't too bad is it?

I think I have seen us not lose there more times than we have

Unless two other teams have a upturn in form, then we can afford that

You cant base what will happen on what is currently happening , I don't think we can afford to lose over half our remaining games and make the playoffs

That’s where having a manager with a personality like Lampard makes a massive difference.

I would love too, but wouldn't be the end of the world - The squad is hunkered down to long contracts (mostly) and anyone who goes will command a decent wedge

I would also back Frank to pick us up and be ready to go again

My only worry is if we go on a ridiculous run to a play off semi/final and lose it may well have earned Lampard his stripes for a Premier League job again... then the vultures start circling

What’s currently happening though is the most likely thing to happen.

I think we can afford another loss in there to be honest

Win 5 draw 2 lose 4 gets us to 70 and thats going to be enough 100%

I’m just enjoying winning. How it ends up is a bit of a free hit as expectations were reduced early in the season.

Teams have good and bad patches besides the best and worst teams .. what's to say West brom don't win 9 from 11 ? Weve just won 8 in 9 what's to say blackburn don't win 7 from the last 11 .

I'm not sure football works like you say most of the time at all
