I'd actually much prefer that to what we've got now. Give me honesty everytime, even when its offensive.

I'd say to SISU 'how much for the club'. I'd then buy the club, and go on to say to the council 'how much to buy that big white elephant and to buy out existing contracts'. I would then try to find someone who wants to own a football club (as I know I wouldn't want to run a never-gonna-make-a-profit business) with a stadium included.

I would by then hoped to have acquired the title 'Mr Coventry'

You would have to be a bit daft to invest in a footy club. Didnt GR invest and lose £23m?

Anyone know how much SISU paid for CCFC?

I would loan the club 107 million then charge them interest at 12.32% giving me a nice little income. Until the owner of the club then said 12.32% is not fair and stopped paying me. Then they'd take the club out of town again threaten it with liquidation etc etc etc.

Stuff it. I'd be off, with that kind of money who'd need football, I find much better things to have fun, probably be dead within 6 months but would have lived 5 lifetimes in them 6 months

Buy Northampton and do it. That really would be funny.

I would buy the club, and the Ricoh.

I would form a new board of directors that would include:

OSB58 - I would need financial help, that's for sure.
Grendel - No doubting his love for the sky blues, and would be in charge of ACL, targetted with maximising profit from the Ricoh... (Although may have to have a lesser, smaller board too that he can run to when the main board members don't agree with him...)
NW - we would need a level head on the board - (he can also help moderate the smaller board) (He would probably only accept the role on the understanding that he can post that I'm not the right person to own CCFC, so he can tell everyone years later "I told you so"
Otis - He's bound to be a workaholic, if only to get away from his wife more often..
_brian_ - to get the average age of the board higher...
Dong - I don't think Grendel would accept the job unless Dong was on the board too...

Other board members required too. Lets see your CV's !!

Get me in there in charge of team morale! (of the board that is!)

I wouldn't. I have no previous experience of running a football club. Hmmmmmm:thinking about:

But wouldn't it be "exciting" doing something you know nothing about and holding the hopes and dreams of a city while you did it?

What is the Club worth, the Golden Share and the transfer values of any players you would want to keep.

Would that amount to more than a million or two, you would want the assets only anyway.

Then a ground, well you probably could do a deal to go back to the Ricoh.

The major expenses would be funding ongoing losses, now there is no reason a Club should lose money, but that is likely to be the case for a while.

The difficult bit would be getting SISU to sell, as they would have to realise their losses. Something they may not wish to do.

I actually thought of this when I heard of the jackpot and I promised myself if I did win the big one, I would make a big offer to buy CCFC and The Ricoh and sell it all for £1 so long as the new owners could prove they would treat the club and the ground with the care and attention they need and deserve, cus that's how much I love this club. Money cant buy you love. Coventry City Football Club means more to me than money. They print more of it everyday. There is only one Coventry City

I reckon I would just rub it in to Joy that I now had more money than her in this way:

Money is her god so this should really hurt her.

I'm not sure you would have more than her though unfortunately.

Doesn't the general answers on this thread highlite the difference between us ordinary supporters and the so-called high flyer money men supporters now in the shadows, some of whom you could say started this charade we are now in, and were extatic when SISU rode into town.. Most of us would attempt do whatever to get us somewhere back to normality. But there are enough wealthy supporters to attempt this now, will they come forward, no.
They need reminding there are no pockets in shrouds.

I would also publically state what I really think of Sisu, and publically accuse them of something libellous. They would threaten to sue me of course, but I would get the best lawyers money could buy and batter the bitch in court. If they won the case it would still be worth while (shit sticks).

I'd start a Phoenix club and would distribute shares amongst the fans (one each - with voting rights) so that it is owned by the supporters, and can never be bought by the likes of SISU again.

I would give a share each to anyone who has a season ticket, and offer the opportunity for anyone else out there who wants to buy ONE to do so. A controlling percentage would have to be owned by share holders based in Coventry and Warwickshire.

We would appoint a board - with members to be voted on each season. Those who have formed protest groups, including the Trust, would be in the first board, along with experts from amongst our fans, such as lawyers and accountants etc.

We would then vote on issues such as stadium improvements, match day experience improvements, kit design, and other matters; but certainly not be involved with player selection or the day to day running of the club. That would be down to our management staff, who would be appointed by the board.

The Phoenix Club would be known as Coventry Football Club. We would play in black, to signify the loss of our original club to some greedy, immoral scum, and we would claim our history as that of the people of Coventry - not a company called CCFC.

We would ground share at Butts Park - as it is the middle of the City where we belong.

Once we have outgrown Butts Park, we would return to the Ricoh if we can buy ACL. We would work in partnership with the Council to develop the site of the Ricoh - for hotels etc, and to ensure the train station happens.

The idea would be that fan ownership would engage the people of Coventry and Warwickshire, making them feel that this is THEIR CLUB, and reclaiming our catchment area from the glory supporters and ridding us of apathy.

If we are not filling the ground then free tickets would be given to schools. Kids coming with parents would always come for free regardless. We would get our fan base back - and much more - and ensure generations of City support.

Of course, all of this is very achievable without the Euromillions win. I'm just waiting for the rest of you to get on board
