Ecky and bigfatronssba - why are you on here then?

Er because this is a Ccfc fans forum and I'm a Ccfc fan.

Not that I have to justify my attendance on here or the match to you or anyone else.

Sorry it wasn't a one upmanship thing our club needs us and we are in danger of disappearing for good. There are obviously work or abroad reasons but if we genuinely love the club I thought there couldn't be a legitimate reason not to go.

I was wrong. Good fans and a lot of them are not going to go again and sisu have forced them into this opinion.

I disagree that their plans will work and fear that the club will cease to exist by the time they are ready to come and watch again.

I disagree but I respect their opinion

Was tempted by this one but coupled with the fact that I'm fighting off a return of this virally flu thing that is sitting on my chest like that green monster thing on the 'Benylin' adverts, I just can't convince myself anymore that my money which is in ever diminishing supply at the moment is actually going to reach the place I want it to and that's investment in the team. When I can be satisfied that my hard earned is 'supporting' the cause then I will be back to gladly hand it over !

SISU OUT You Cunts !!

Whilst that is true FP and I won't disagree with you, I would go tonight freezing my tits off if i felt we were getting value for money and not being treated by fools by all parties in our mess.

That's just it Pete, you have valid and good reasons to go but then there is the other side to the coin that fans simply won't go until sisu go and or the team is challenging. It is a worth while thread to see everyone's reasons to go or not to go. In my eyes we are still all fans though and want ccfc to win tonight.

Pete. I would love to go. However, being off sick for 6 months with a serious heart problem and funds deteriating rapidly my priorities lay elsewhere. I will be on the wall with Kieran and hundreds of supporters from all over the world. Also my heart may give up if we were to win. Please accept my apologies/excuse for not being at the Ricoh tonight. PUSB

I get why alot are turning their backs and the reasons are obvious, its a very sad state of affairs fans walking away after many years of drivel.

Also Tuesday night games should be 15 quid MAX.

I still care about the club (although I have to admit its waning) but won't be going due to being at work 200 miles away. Am I excused, Pete?

When you say pockets are you suggesting SISU are making tons of money and getting rich out of the football club?

I have a season ticket as do my 3 lads but none of us are attending tonight, 2 of them don't want to go full stop, one wants to go to their own football training session and me well i'm not going on my own but if i'm honest I didn't want to go anyway and would have bribed my lads if any of them did.

So its Gillette Soccer Special for me tonight.

The question is then do I have feelings for my club or not based on the fact I have a season ticket yet don't want to go?

I think fans go for a few reasons, Day out with mates, family or business, be entertained and habit being another, but hope is the one that is the most important in my eyes... Hope that the team will perform and give you memories of days past,, everyone remembers a goal, a game, an away day and a final if you were lucky.. Today and for the last few years hope has faded away for me and reality is sinking in, that unless change happens this club will go backwards in every way possible..

I know some will disagree and will have their own reason's for not going or going, me i have no hope about what this club has become or where it is going.. And that is the root cause of why i would not be attending any games when in Coventry, i will not judge anyone who goes or who went to NTFC, as individuals you have the right the decide.. I do however think it is important to find out the answers to the question asked of why go ,, why not, maybe a poll on here.. Would give so insight into why, also maybe stop a few going round on the hamster wheel getting into the same old argument or debate....

When I say pockets - So you believe that every 60p in the pound is being invested heavily into the playing squad to serve up the entertainment value for the paying public?

Just had a text off somebody at the academy saying he has loads of free tickets and cant get rid of them. I've had a free ticket all season and still feel pretty deflated when thinking about going, so not too sure admission prices is the reason the majority stay away. The complete absence of any kind of atmosphere added together with the woeful performances combined with a total feeling of apathy is probably the main reason. The buzz I used to get walking into Highfield Road.....

So if that is round about the correct figure, how many of the 5000 are staying away and how many are paying on the gate?. Whatever it is the income from the paying fan will be worse than at NTFC assuming that the money is gone from ST sales..
