I have been to 8 away games plus seen 3 tv games plus 15 mins on the hill. If we stay in northants not sure i will go away even next year. the atmosphere away at the beginning such as port vale and walsall v the last 2 games i went to crewe and brentford has changed and its not just due to our drop in form and change in style of play. the futility of our situation is having an impact and there is a drift away of general interest. Home games are the basis of a club's support. If you don't go as often you have less connection with the club, there have been midweek night games that I was unaware of as I have no need to follow the fixture list in detail as in previous seasons.

Sure a promotion run would see away crowds pick up but unfortunately the second half of the season is a forerunner to next season where relegation is more likely than promotion, players don't want to stay or join this joke of a club

Tedium perpetuates all round. No idea though why you would have to keep saying you renewed your season tickets last Monday. It's like he's trying to rub people's noses in it and make some kind of point.

You do have a valid point though Torch. No idea why people have to keep saying they won't set foot in Sixfields ad nauseum.

You too have a valid point but I have no idea why people have to keep telling us the reasons why they do set foot in Sixfields.

Not having a go for buying them, just trying to understand why he bought them early. If he bought them after the JR they would still be the same price !!
In reality he is just a wum.

Worst thing the previous regime did to MY club was sell Highfield Road even though it wasn't theirs to sell and saddle us with the shittest stadium rental deal that English football has ever seen.

They feel Guilty for betraying the other fans, just so they can keep up their record of not haveing missed any city games for so many years. They do not care about the club, all they care about is their record.

sixfielders are supporting the lads by sitting in silence, with the support i heard on the radio on Friday it must be the worst home support in the whole league, support is surely the wrong word to use its watching the team like going to the theatre clapping at the end and interval. The only sixfielder I know isn't going next year but bizarely is considering Lestor !!!!

Love it how the term sixfielder is now becoming part of SBT language.

As for the atmosphere lets be perfectly honest 90% of the Ricoh crowd have been silent for most if the last couple of seasons. The atmosphere is similar to the games at the Ricoh when there have been less than 8,000 in the ground.

Anyway I'm off to buy a sixfielder hat so people can recognise me.

Good for you.
But you are in the minority.
Most City supporters won't go for various reasons and most believe they will do the club long term damage by doing so.
Can't believe anybody thinks we need to be in Northampton other than SISU.

West ham, Saints, blues, Lestor, leeds home games during the relegation season atmosphere was very good, even our dramatic games this season such as brizzol pne & posh, atmosphere (as per the radio0 nowhere near. PNE in the JPT last season hard core proper fans atmosphere was unbelievable, Ricoh wasn't always good but no comparison to Sixfields convinced the atmosphere is why we are in the relegation zone. 2 home wins since the new year must be the worst home form in the league.

We are not in the relegation zone and would be nowhere near it without the 10 point reduction.

I haven't checked but I'm pretty certain we have won more home games this season than either of theist two.

Still lets not let facts get in the way of a good rant.

The atmosphere was mostly good in the games cited due to a large away following.

Nick as a committed sixfielder you can't deny that you are in a minority, a minority of ST holders v Ricoh ST holders, a miority of fans by any guage.

There will a large wolves away following next week and I'm sure you sixfielders will break into a few good chants. Talked about our home form since the new year, you chose to ignore that, the atmosphere is dead there is no support from the sixfielders to drive the team on. PNE support wasn't particularly large but atmosphere was great, you've probably forgotten what its like to have a good vocal home support.

A committed sixfielder - me like that term, a minority who believes that their actions are justified in spite of the opinions of the vast majority

I agree the actions do, but you don't know why the majority don't. I doubt most don't go because of the future of the club, they just don't want to.

Besides, you have done more harm than me giving them money

I know a work colleague that goes and a fanatical cov fan that goes, although not a scientific mori based poll, but the fans that I know don't go because the disagree with the move to northants. The expression don't want to go is a bit woolly, I don't want to go but its out of principle not because I don't want to go to watch the team in a souless arena with the "sixfielders".

We're not in the relegation zone? And the reason we are where we are is because we lost 10 points and defensively we ain't good enough, fuck all to do with the Ricoh or Sixfields. Players are making basic errors; they'd happen regardless of where we're playing.

Northampton has no appeal at all.

The fans dont want to be there.
The players dont want to be there.

I do not have to go to realise its shite. It would be too embarrasing.

The fans that do go are a good bunch. They just want to watch the team. No beef with that.

I've been personally, but not a lot. I've been 3 or 4 times and can confirm the reason I won't be going regularly is because it's shit. The whole thing is surreal, it's actually hard to believe you're watching Cov and it ain't a pre season friendly and look around everybody else is feeling the same. It's a wierd experiance; hence why the atmosphere there is so shit.

If the atmosphere was white hot I still wouldn't be going. Don't think the atmosphere in Sixfields will ever be any good, well not in the home end

Swearing isn't a resort, it adds flavour to language. It's like when you post and imply guilt in others, 'bollocks' is a fine choice of word to use.

No fan is betraying anyone regardless of whether they go, boycott or stand on the hill.
