How about Sisu come out and say we want to negotiate a long term and permanent deal at the Ricoh for say the next 60 years on terms which will allow the football club to progress.

Been there, done that. Remember when Anderson came in and said he wanted to put everything else aside and see if a long term deal could be agreed? He said it was progressing well, Wasps said it was progressing well and then Wasps suddenly walked away and refused to talk anymore.

Not to mention the recent SISU statement where they said if an agreement could be reached they would drop the legals.

When? it’s always been short term deals cause they had other plans supposedly.

Barely remember him, but now that you said it I have a vague recollection of another joker in a long line.

The strategy changes every 6 months or so, so it’s difficult to keep track

Yes the statement where they said they would drop the legal if the council agreed to help the club build a new stadium

On which no progress has been made since they announced there intention 6 years ago.

I’m not going to a grounsahare after the club has been forced out though. Screw the club I’m done with it. Apart from big games and Wembley obviously.

In the last 2 months. A clear offer to drop all legal action upon completion of a long term deal at Ricoh.

They did also mention about a new stadium in the future, but again people chose to ignore what could have been a workable resolution.

If we leave when do we come back to Coventry? When Wasps cave in? When we build the Nevergunnahappen Arena?

If I see a brick layed down I'll go.

Where? Show me

The statement I read says a medium interim deal at the Ricoh until ccfc own stadium is complete. I.e not long term

Figures for the club getting worse on here

Of 10000 fans

1620 will get season tickets
3700 attending some games

Can’t see any more than the attendances at the cobblers.

They wanted to talk to Wasps about a longer term deal last year but Wasps restricted it to a year.

5/6 years is a long time in football. That is plenty long term at this stage... but no one cared.

I was tempted to not vote in principle. due to no in principal being spelled incorrectly. In the end I confused myself and voted for a season ticket, as that was spelled correctly.

SISU remind me of Theresa May. One plan that they keep approaching from different angles, really hope they are bluffing and drop the legals at the last minute. If we have a mid to lower playing squad budget for league 1 now. I dread to think what it will be when we are playing in front of >3k.
You have to feel for MR.
Most frustrating thing is the legals will probably get booted out just after we have left. Although to be honest I think SISU value depriving Wasps of Revenue as more important for the overall plan than the risk that comes with depriving CCFC of revenue.

I don't attend many games anyway due to other commitments so this would just make things more inconvinient to me.

Maybe one or two like I did for Sixfields but thats all.

Why do we have a mid to lower budget in league 1 now ? Could it be that we are being deprived of revenue by Wasps.
They're out in force tonight.

I dont have a season ticket but average about 11 home games a season. I've no interest in going to any home games out of Coventry. Away games are more fun anyway.

Such a shame this is happening again and like others have said. All the hard work after the last two season will go to waste. This will lead us back to league two as lower attendances will result in a lower budget. No way back this time, I cant see us pulling another MR out the hat.

Not necessarily, why can Accrington, Rochdale, Burton and Fleetwood do it? Crawly, Bury and Yeovil managed it also; two of those managed promoton to the Championship.

Why the fook should SISU do anything to benefit a hedge fund owned rugby club from London?

No other football club supporters in the country would back this stance-yet we have posts on here that would rather sign a stadium deal that would only benefit WASPS, they would drop legals that would only benefit WASPS and they would rather side with those that are clearly anti Coventry City FC than back the club they purport to be fans of.

Burton have just spent two years in the division we've not been close to for nearly a decade, not sure they're the best team to scoff at.

To be honest as a fan I couldn't really care about all of the politics.

I will go to any stadium that Coventry play at no matter the reason.

I don't particularly like the Ricoh, it's a nice stadium but has a lot of flaws.

If it is Northampton/Rugby/ Nuneaton, I will probably end up going more often as parking is free, and tickets are cheaper. And they are all easier to get to for me anyway. So instead of 9/10 games I would go to the majority if not all. The majority of fans don't care about Sisu or Wasps, they care about practicality and their wallet, which is the real reason most won't go.

Think I will as well regardless even if I can't make every game.

I am going to wait for a well timed question of how to purchase one to drive people like him over the edge.
