Well... maybe not tomorrow but if we lose tomorrow to the bottom side then there will be a few more nails in our coffin..

Harsh? Maybe... but we should be near the strongest side we could have tomorrow. Big big test.

We will probably lose tomorrow and beat southampton.

A wee bit early for this, but it certainly won't help the already fragile confidence.
I still believe we will be OK regarding relegation, but we have to concentrate a lot more especially in the last quarter. I pray to the man above that we at least get a win and a draw from the next 3 games.

We have to win tomorrow. Lot's of disharmony in Doncaster with the ridiculous appointment of Mackay as "Director of Transfers" - if ever a team is there for the taking it is them.

Loose tomorrow and Andy Thorns days as manager may be numbered!

We need a win!

Think if we lose against Doncaster and then Millwall we could enter a slump and that could ultimately seal our doom. Stress 'could.'

Just think times when you hit bottom it can be very difficult to the pull yourselves out.

If ever a team is there for the taking - we lose to them, historical inevitability.

Heard Sullivan on talk sport the other day after he had signed a contract extention, seemed to think they'll be getting back on track against us tommorow ,seeing us as there for the taking,i hope we start slowly tommorow ,the games we have won and performed best in are when we come stronger in the second half,we were all pleading for a 90 min performance last week ,but teams never dominate for a whole ninety,i'll be happy if we get a blackpool ,derby , leeds, forrest type approach.

It would be so entirely Coventry City to lose to Donny and Millwall, then do the double over West Ham. And anyone who thinks it can be over at this stage of the season doesn't remember all those relegation battles in the top-flight days! Man I swear we spent most of my 80's childhood in the relegation zone, I can remember the week that I looked in the Pink and saw we were 16th...16th!!! It almost gave me a nosebleed.

Nah, if games like the hammering of then-Champions Everton have taught us anything, it's that it aint over until it's over.

As for AT's job security...we'll have to spend a couple of months unbroken in the relegation zone before that is, or even should be, an issue. It gives him a bit more time to teach Carsley how to drink from a poisoned chalice

Sounds like how we saw Barnsley and Burnley, no?

Bell will be licking his lips...if he gets it on the half-way line, everyone shout "SHOOT!" Still the greatest ever Ricoh goal IMO!

i remember going to Donny when we could have gone top, and lost a very drab game 1-0, when we were unbeaten at the start of the season.

I can see the same result tomorrow,

Well I wouldn't be banking on an away win guys. With our fragile confidence, piss poor squad and weak manager, we've won one game away (Pompey 3-0) since November last year.

Weak manager? I didn't know you'd joined the anti-Thorn brigade, Rob? Blimey, I stray from the fold for a few days and people are slashing their wrists...did nobody read his various interviews this week and think "yep, I agree with that entirely, how refreshing, this man has my trust" ? No? Just me again, then...

no negative thoughts from my direction,
siege mentality can come from AT & 'the squad',
i feel a positive vibe,
i've been there a few times before & 'if' the mindset is right we can get a result,

Certainly not joined the anti-thorn brigade and I think in our present siuation with no budget we can't expect more but the facts are he is inexperienced, has a poor record (albeit with difficult circumstances) and his recent antics have shown (imo) that his man-management skills are not great and his decision making poor. He could still learn from those mistakjes and improve as some of the raw players do too, but would be hard to argue that his current standing (imo) is anything other than weak.

just a thought, when all of the fracas broke out, i distinctly remember bobby gould offering his services for free,
he would have a direct line with AT,
so it begs the question why would s*s* ignore this offer ?
are they so far up their own,
or what !!!

Bobby Gould has not made enough out of the game really and turns up where ever he is asked and touts himself around small media outlets etc. Can't blame him but just to be back in football would raise his profile again. I think I'll pass on an opportunist thanx.

As for the Donny game today? Think we can win this convincingly tbh and should do. Anything less is a problem unless it's a fighting draw from a defeated position!

Expecting goals - from us!

expecting goals ?

at what point this season have we give you any hope that we will get more than one goal in a game ?

the LAST thing I expect from CCFC is goals

Both very poor teams,
Could be a boring 0-0
Or a 3-2... Etc

Weren't you expecting us to score 3 last week, Paxman?

Wish I had your optimism. We haven't looked like scoring 3 goals all season, let alone in one game .... and away from home.

We are odds on to go down. I don't blame AT for this, but the lack of new players, loans or other. I am an half full person, but this season so much remains me off our relegation from the Premiership. Years of struggling, losing games we should have won, poor defending in the latter part of games and worst of all the lack of goals. In fact have only scored more than 1 goal in two games all season. Today won't define our season, neither will the next couple of games. But we have start scoring and stop giving away leads in the last minutes of matches. At this stage I just cannot see us doing that

I never think about the "R" word until at least February. Anything could happen between now and then. Stop being so pessimistic everyone!

I don't listen to early season betting predictions. They generally evolve through the season in leagues like this one.

Personally I'd like to rely on something of proven substance.

How about strengthening the squad, that has worked in the past, as far as I can tell praying seems to be reasonably reliable if the outcome is highly likely, LOL.

we didn't lose so, well done to AT & the players, it would have been great to secure a win,
it won't paper over the cracks tho' unless we strengthen our squad,
i remain bemused as to what our owners are trying to do,
we await their 'reasoned' ? assessment of the result today,
once again well done you sky blues,

As I've said I was delighted with a draw on Saturday and will be delighted with a draw tomorrow and then again on Saturday. Won't do our league position much good, but I will still see them as all positive results. 2 draws and a defeat would look quite bleak for us in terms of that most likely resulting in a further slide down the league table. Not that we have got much further to slide of course.
