The team we saw yesterday giving such a dire performance was a product of the Sixfields Experience, cut all costs to cover the income expected.

If Sisu had thought we could expect crowds of 10,000 then may be Baker, for one, would still be here.

I am convince now this season is all about just staying up, to rebuild next summer.

I will still be there but not expecting to much as you can tell

The season has hardly kicked in yet you are talking about re-building for next season, we have signed a load of newbies for this season and if we are saying we need to re-build already you have to question why bring them in and what do you think we need for a re-build. I am not judging these players yet but what I have seen so far none come up to the ability of Christie, Murphy, Clarke, Moussa or Wilson and there imo lies the problem we have not improved the quality of player we have

Preston NE get 10k at home , they have a population of 199,000
we get 10k at home with a population of 330,000
there is no excuse for the attendance as if we had won yesterday , we would be 1 point off the playoffs , its our supporters , we are just a badly supported team , its time people realised this

O Brian turned down an offer from Barnsley as we offered higher wages. Tudgay will not be on a cheap league one wage and Jackson certainly will not .

None of the players would have stayed as they are in the championship

And the SBT fans survey suggests than only 45% of our fan base is from Coventry. So that's like 4.5k out of 330k population

That might have depended on what wages they were on.

I think we'll have to wait until next season before we can reap the financial benefits of returning to the Ricoh and the added attraction playing there brings to the club. Even then we have the stick in the spokes of everything being so short term and short sighted.

We won't be reaping any financial benefits of being at the Ricoh if crowds remain low.

Yes because with 5500 and around 20% of that figure still active here at best , thats a true representation of the coventry city fanbase .
most of which do not use this forum , you telling me that I can take a poll like that seriously .
point is we have 330,000 living in coventry

There will be some. Clearly not as high as anyone wanted or expected but it's not just ticket sales it's a share of the F & B apparently and I would be surprised if merchandise sales haven't shot up despite waiting for stock to be replaced following the ram raid. Plus we haven't spent the Wilson money yet

The Wilson money will be gone on operating costs. We lost over £7m in our last season here, I can't see then splashing cash no we're back

We have never been a well supported team (except when the glory hunters come out of the woodwork), even with a return to the Ricoh the base is between 9,000 & 12,000!

Next week for Crawley we may well struggle to reach 9,000?

Didn't we get more wins at Sixfields? We might be even lower down if we started at the Ricoh

Only picked up 4 points from our first two "home" games at suxfields this season whereas we picked up 6 points from our first two home games at the Ricoh this season. We could have been 2 points better off if you want to play that game.
