I know sounds stupid but if a tenant does not pay land lord his rent they are evicted, so if we continue not to pay where will that leave us.
Ground share with Nuneaton does sound too bad better atmosphere as ricoh will be empty and we would easily fill Nuneaton ground

its not a stupid question, but even if we did ground share with nuneaton, who would pay the rent on that ?

The rent money is currently coming from a £500k deposit put down by the club some time back. This will run out in August if we continue not paying it ourselves-only then in September would we begin being liable for rent.

I thought the deposit was £300k and was due?

I reckon with the accounts being filed and funding agreed, a deal has been done on the rent.

As an aside, I cannot think of another single supposedly reputable company that arbitrarily withholds rental payments just because it thinks the rent is too high - they've been paying it for 4 years without a murmer!

ground share with nuneaton.................... except

- The ground wont meet FL standards
- It would mean a rewrite of our fixtures and theirs
- we would still be liable under terms of current lease at Ricoh
- we would have to pay rent on use of nuneaton ground
- we wouldnt have a share of the other income at either ground
- our budget for income would be slashed further because nuneaton does not have the capacity or infra structure
- slashed income budget means less to pay out on player
- would nuneaton want to us, they seem to be doing ok for themselves ..... even signing up a decent squad
- would the fact that club no longer in Coventry affect crowds further ?

apart from that and other factors its a great idea ........ CCFC and ACL are actually better off with rent free at the Ricoh than doing that

we are still liable BSB even if paid from the deposit account. The deposit forms part of the rent agreement and needs to be replenished unless the landlord agrees to reduce it.

My point is OSB that ACL are still technically getting their cash-when September comes and there's zero sat in the escrow, then it gets interesting.

who pays for the policing etc ?

do ACL pay for that out of the rent money ?

If so, if there is no rent money, and ACL dont pay the police, the fixtures cant go ahead

Nuneaton share their ground already with the Rugby club so can't see how it would e possible even if it was a viable option

heard this before, "We must have a share of the Ricoh"....

but what does the other income involve?

  1. matchday hot dogs and pies?
  2. other events / gigs?
  3. rent from other businesses on the site?

either way surely SISU would put it into CCFC holdings or SBS&L. Why would they give the proceeds to CCFC?...

because the additional turnover counts in the FFP calculation for CCFC ............ other than that it makes no difference where SISU take credit for the income they control it where ever it is

Agreed - been saying it for a while now... watch what happens when the rent account needs topping up... we will have sold as many of the players as we can by then... if we haven't bought any in for real money (not frees) then if SISU are going to cut their losses and use all the money from players sales and future rent money to pay down some of the loans to the holding Co's - and put CCFC in Admin - that's the best time to do it for them as their cash position will be as good as it can get
