yes. they would. same as the ones boycotting until SISU left, but another 22,000 turned up for the JPT final than a normal home game :thinking about:
I think you would be wise to stop and think.Nail on the head.
It's not on principle, it's because they can't be arsed.
Total respect for that position. If we all took this stand I would hope the FL would step in and remove the Golden share and somehow grant it to a new entity ... Trust, ACL and a consortium of local businesses?I wouldn't go and that's a FACT as Grenduffy says.
If we move out of Cov then its no longer my club, its temporarily dead.
Once we play our football in the city, then that's when I go back.
Coventry City football club play football in and represent the people of Coventry City, when they do that's when I go back ,and the end of my argument

If the worst happens and we played our home games at the Bescot and we are in the fa cup 3rd round at our
Part time home against Manchester United or the other big teams would the people who are refusing to go be itching for tickets to see the game I believe a lot would .
Nail on the head.

You really aren't doing yourselves any favours here are you?! "real fans","they can't be arsed"...have you not go grasp of the concept of what it means to support your home club? The fact that most of us support the club because it represents Coventry and not Walsall, Irthingborough,Birmingham or some outpost in South Warwickshire? I'd say it was because of your age and because you haven't experienced the passion and the pride that those of us that have followed the club for decades have had...But then I think back 25 years to when I was 18 and remember I would've been just as disgusted if the owners at the time had even considered taking my club out of my city. There are also other younger posters like BSB who seem to 'get it' and have the same pride in their city and club and realise that to move us from Coventry for any length of time would be suicide for the club....So it must just be you. Does you not have the same pride for Coventry? Is Coventry the city nothing at all to do with the reason you support them?
Snitterfield's strange...lets go there!

Don't give Tim any ideas NLHWC ;-)

That isn't Stoodley Pike is it NLHWC?
To be fair to Taylor he isn't glory hunting like a lot of other folk are at the moment so I think his sentiments are in the right place. Just think he isn't seeing the bigger picture.
I do agree with you there...He is a very good and articulate poster and it's good to see that he is so passionate about the club and hasn't chosen the Chelsea,Man Utd,Liverpool glory fan route like so many of his age. I do think though accusing people of not being real fans and saying that the owners considering ripping the club from it's heartland is just an excuse for those that can't be arsed to go really does highlight his naivety and also ignorance as to how passionate many fans feel about this issue.
Can't disagree with that.
Speaking personally I travel 30 odd miles to Coventry 25 times per season, yes to watch the Sky Blues, but also to visit family, my home town and, in a strange way that I can't explain to pay homage to my parents and grandparents who made a good life for their kids after living through the blitz and seeing the city rebuilt. My late father took me to my first game and it seems to honour his memory for me to support the team. I even attended a game within hours of being with him when he died and cried for him, whilst cheering our winning goals that day through the tears.
Sorry to get all sentimental.
Please do not take my club away from my home town.
Mind you it does seem to be a naivety and ignorance that is shared by the owners who may also have underestimated the strength of feeling against such a move....
Unfortunately it is all down to money and business with people such as Sisu. With us it is much more than that and they will never understand the feelings which we have for our club. They should never have got involved and I suspect that they are only now beginning to realise that. Far too late of course to change our view of them.
But financially it's a total non starter too. As was moving the club shop out of the Ricoh and holding everything in storage.
No it was not. That was our Timmy throwing his toys out of the pram again. But wasn't that the administrators decision?
But wasn't that the administrators decision?
That happened before administration.
