No it isn’t lolIt’s £3.65m raising to £4.28m with addons
How can anyone accurately predict the figure we'll get without knowing the end sale price? Turner saying it's 3.48 someone else 3.87 another over 4 ...
The fee as stated many times is: Sale fee, less £20m received x 10% and we then lose 15% of that to Brighton.
As an example, if he goes for £65m, then £65m - £20m = £45m x10% = £4.5m x 85% = £3.83m but until the sale fee agreed it's all guesswork as to what we'll receive.
Why would Brighton get 15% when they only got 10% last time? (Also €20m not £20m)
It should be easy to find as all Portuguese transfers have to be logged to the penny by law.No, £20m - we started at €20m and with add ons has risen to a fee closer to £20m which is why our sell-on dropped from 15% to 10%. Brighton's was always reported to be 15% last time - hopefully the accounts will bear that out.
I haven’t done a maths lesson?Just what we need, another maths lesson from all of the qualified chartered accountants on here
Thats sweet but come on mate.... its Grendel.... he lives, eats and breathes this sort of combative stuff ....it the fuel for his very existence. Not a thick tub thumper and uses a lot of deflection and avoidance of answering questions like a politican but he loves a good verbal brawl. Not sure he will appreciate you defending his corner as not sure he is really the sort to feel such love, warmth and devotion from a fellow SBT-er.

The figure Sky Sports are quoting is initially £55M (sterling). So the question is, what extra have we received on top of the original fee, and contractually, what was it for? Any amount we received for reducing the sell on percentage shouldn't be added to the original fee, that amount was I assume compensation for the reduction to 10%.We’re not clearing 4m, we’ll receive less than 3.
.
Regarding this accusation please provide the evidence. I literally have zero idea what you are talking aboutThis goes back a long time with us. This isn't anger. As you can see I'm as polite as I can be with him.
Before when I said about how bad my mental health was he was one of those who saw it as a green light to try and send me over the edge. Now it won't work. Take a look back. All I said in reply to someone was we don't know what's going on with finances because we don't. Strangely enough he does know. I can go back and show you the constant attacks if you like. And each time he then goes quiet when put on the spotlight.
I made it up just like all the other figures on here are.How do you know? The sale hasn't gone through yet so the chances of us knowing the minor details of the fee are pretty negligible
Transfer is reported as €63.5m + €10mThe figure Sky Sports are quoting is initially £55M (sterling). Any amount we received for reducing the sell on percentage shouldn't be added to the original fee, that amount was I assume compensation for the reduction to 10%.
So as I see it, we get 10% of £55m minus the original fee paid including target/performance addons if there were any.
So that should be at least £3M initially, with a further 10% of any addons agreed between Arsenal and Sporting provided they are met.
That is reported to be possibly as much as £10M, so we could receive up to another £1M of that.
As for who pays Brighton, I assume that would depend what our contract with Sporting says, it was reported that they paid the original sell on fee, anyway Brighton would only be due a percentage of our fee, as per our original agreement with them.
I believe IF Brommapojkarna would be due a percentage of Brighton's cut, but that would be nothing to do with us.
So it theory we could clear £4M or get close to it.
How can you know they certainly wont be triggered for a seasonTransfer is reported as €63.5m + €10m
We’ll receive just under £3m initially and the add ons could net us another £750k or so, but may never be triggered and certainly won’t be for at least a season.
Some of them will inevitably be based on achievements that can only happen at the end of the season (winning the league/CL/BdOr)How can you know they certainly wont be triggered for a season
So you are speculating. Some of them will inevitably be based on achievements that can only happen at the end of the season (winning the league/CL/BdOr)
Why would you convert euros to pounds and pay an exchange rate?No it isn’t lol
The maths really isn’t that difficult
€63.5m - 24m = 39.5m
39.5m * 0.1 = 3.95m
3.95m * 0.85 = 3.358m
€3.358m = £2.92m
Some minor differences depending on the exchange rate you use and how much we’ve received so far, but we won’t be getting over £3m initially.
Eh? I’m just converting it for understanding’s sake. Why would you convert euros to pounds and pay an exchange rate?
You'd leave it in a foreign bank in euros, a good business accountant would do far more with it that way.
What clauses could possibly be triggered early anyway? So you are speculating.
15 goals he could achieve by Christmas no?What clauses could possibly be triggered early anyway?
Even ones based on performance will take a while
come off it lol
You do realise that MF is literally our strongest area of the pitch dont you?Typical thread on here at the minute, none of the answers have anything to do with the original post and it's melted into an arse kicking competition about who know's more than who. If there were no outgoings and DK can squeeze another one in I would like a midfielder in the mould of O'Hare who ran at the opposition.
to play where? we already have a better player than o'hare in o'hare's old position who does in fact run at peopleTypical thread on here at the minute, none of the answers have anything to do with the original post and it's melted into an arse kicking competition about who know's more than who. But what I'm saying is that as far as I know no-one outside of CCFC & Sporting know the true figure we have already received that counts towards the deduction from the total which gives the remainder to base the 10% on, i.e. the figure you have quoted at 24M in post 26.Transfer is reported as €63.5m + €10m

€4m was the max possible. He must have hit most of the clauses. But what I'm saying is that as far as I know no-one outside of CCFC & Sporting know the true figure we have already received that counts towards the deduction from the total which gives the remainder to base the 10% on, i.e. the figure you have quoted at 24M in post 26.
You know I’m right15 goals he could achieve by Christmas no?
Could he not get 15 by Christmas and that be one of his clauses? You know I’m right
That's the issue we only have one, the game slows down when JR is not in the team and as much as I like Torp he's not the same type.to play where? we already have a better player than o'hare in o'hare's old position who does in fact run at people
Too many of a similar style for me. Although the brief appearance of Eccles in the second leg hinted he might be able to take on the role if we have injuries. You do realise that MF is literally our strongest area of the pitch dont you?
Im sure we'd be better served with a GK or CH or L/R W or striker before adding yet another midfielder.
