Agree with it all but the point i am trying to make is that moving to a new ground just outside the Coventry boundary doesn't mean we are not Coventry City...
Very relevant as the people who travel would be more inclined to follow the team if a stadium was outside the city . I know a lot of mates in Coventry who simply couldn't be arsed to go to the ricoh.

There is also no "Greater Grimsby", "Greater Bolton", Greater Nottingham"........the point is teams have/are playing outside of their City's boundary with relatively success

The thing is, it will just be another excuse for some fans for not to go. The same fans who hardly went to the Ricoh unless there was a sniff of Wembley and the Premier League. Some just like to be outraged and angry.
How many fans stopped being a fan when we moved from Hr to the Ricoh? HR was where we had been for 100 odd years and where our history really was.

Of course they can decide. The same as I have said it is up to people if they don't go and common sense should be used. I just find it hard to see how you can just stop supporting a club you have grown up with, loved over 20 yards. If it was really far away then of course it would be a different matter but the fact is we don't know where it would be or even if this stadium exists.

Not if they have no choice as there is nowhere else to build one?
If there were plenty of alternative sites inside the border and planning permission would be granted and SISU chose not to out of spite then yes it would be petty.
Because as I have repeatedly stated, it would not be the club we have grown up with. That club would be gone and a facsimile would be there in its place

But they do have a choice. Fuck off and give/sell the club to someone who cares and does what is right for us the fans.
No matter what you think of the Ricoh a majority of the fans want us to play there not another Ground Wherever it is.
I too will not attend home games outside of Coventry.
