Something to think about with no football.

Young Player of the season: Ohare
Player of the season: Walsh
Best signing (permanent): Dabo
Worst signing: Kastaneer
Best loan signing: Walsh
Most valuable signing: Godden/Marosi
Smartest signing: McFadzen
Goal of the season: Walsh solo effort (can’t remember who against)
Save of the season: Marosi 1on 1 against Rotherham (home)
Fans favourite of the season: Dabo
Best all round performance of the season: Ipswich away

Have fun....

Most seasons the player of the season is between 2, maybe 3 players. There's argument for about 6 or 7 players this season.

That's how I feel about it - you can add the SBA to the list as well ! Phenomenal season, which will last long in the memory for all for football and other reasons. Will go down in CCFC folklore whatever happens.

For me Walsh has been player of the season.
Goal of the season would be Biamou's at Peterborough.
Away performance I think could be the one at Wycombe, our first away win, their first home defeat and a real statement of intent for us, or the 3-3 draw at Portsmouth. I didn't know this at the time, but it signalled just what a hard team we would be to beat, even with only 9 men.

Can’t even think about any of the season at the moment I’m so annoyed about it. I get it, but I’m still annoyed.

Completely agree with all of them except the last one. Blackpool at home was the best for me. Coming back from 2-0 down with O’Hares winner in injury time. That felt special

How about most improved player? Surely would be Shippers?
How about most influential player? Morosi, Kelly, McFazdean?
You could make a case for all sorts of reasons. The hardest bit is choosing that one player of the season. It is not easy but a decision must be made.
Had McFazdean scored a couple from set pieces he could have got it. Had the season gone longer Godden may well of scored 20+ and propelled us to the championship and he would get it. Walsh has been a rock and steady influence since getting in the side and chipped in a couple of goals. Kelly has led as captain and his work rate is second to none. Dabo has been a revelation and exciting but perhaps lacks a goal for his efforts. Morosi has been the single minded reason we have improved throughout the team as his influence has given confidence to our game. O'Hare has had sensational moments and clearly his motivation and performances are inspirational.
I guess one way to look at it, is if MR's had to bring a player off during a game who would you least like it to be?

That whittles it down to two. Morosi and Dabo. We could cope with losing any one of the others reluctantly.

While I think Dabo is almost irreplaceable, we could cope without him.

Morosi on the other hand would cause the most worry if he left the field. So for me Player of the Season: MOROSI.
Having him between the sticks lets everyone else play with a bit more freedom of expression. The difference between him and Burge on the team has been megafold.

That's a wonderful analysis. Only spoiled by the fact you've constantly spelt his name wrong....

Man this topic is so bitter sweet... As we get further and further into this virus, it's looking all but certain that the season is done and there are so many players in this team who deserve all the credit and accolades that they've earned. The fact it could potentially be wiped off is really unfair. Sounds cliche but it really has been such a team effort this season - moreso than I've ever seen in my 25+ years as a supporter. I attempted to make a shortlist of the players I saw as having the best season and - without even trying to make the joke - pretty much everyone made it in!

rev 1: Marosi, Dabo, Rose, Mason, McCallum, McFadz, Kelly, Walsh, O'Hare, Godden
rev 2: Marosi, Dabo, McFadz, Kelly, Walsh, O'Hare, Godden
rev 3: Marosi, Dabo, Walsh, O'Hare
rev 4: Dabo, Walsh
rev 5: Dabo

So Fankaty wins it for me. He's stood out in every match and been an absolute machine all the way.

So hard...we have had a fantastic season and not one player (of the current main 17 have let the club, themselves or fans down).
Players like mccallum, shippers and westbrooke have stepped up to the plate and improved immeasurably.
Baka and max...not everyone’s favourites have, when called upon, produced the goods and given their all.
Marosi is in my opinion suspect on crosses but has been an excellent shot stopper and pulled off some really big saves especially since Christmas. Most importantly he has faith in the back 5 and they do in him.

The back 5 + Marosi...giants. I now go to games expecting clean sheets or at most one goal against. Dabo is just phenomenal; strong, tenacious and runs forever. McCallum at his age superb...his ability in the air, his long throws, improving positional play etc all are important. Rose has been a revelation; understated, unflappable and strong in tackle. Hyam has improved on last year; solid and dependable...with a little more speed I would say a premier league class player. Mcfadzean has a rocky start...lots of silly errors. But he has cut that out and his organisation of the back line is the reason we look so good. The way we play from the back is nerve wracking at times but fantastic to watch. Any of these could be player of the season for me.

The midfield formation has worked brilliantly and each brings their own quality; O’Hare skilful and enthusiastic; Kelly solid and dependable ...yes he has dipped a bit but his breakup play so important for the team; Allen full of energy and excellent at getting forward quickly and harrying opposition; Walsh calm, tricky, great vision. Most importantly the midfield know their roles and work tirelessly for each other.

Godden has been a bit hit and miss but since returning from injury has netted more consistently.

Robins has put together a side we as fans can be proud of; no home ground in cov this could have been a disastrous season with dwindling crowds and feelings of hopelessness. Instead we have a team that works as a team, has a real sense of togetherness, plays at times scintillating football but also when needed plays tough. Such a shame the season is currently on hold and the team may not get all the accolades they deserve.

It could have been any but for me it’s Dabo as player of season
