If you agree it's worth £6.5m why do you want them to give it away?

I don't I think its worth fuck all you idiot - that's the point if the thread. Its worth £6.5 million and its a charity. Surely the council have a duty - its only buying at its value. Do you think it isn't worth it Tony?

Did the right to purchase the share owned by the company now being liquidated preclude it from being sold to anyone else?

Fucks sake your like a broken record . If I had 6.5 million knocking about I would buy the half share . Get as much on there as possible, including the footie for matchday costs only , and eventually buy out the councils half . Something your beloved SISU should have done from the start and should still do now .

If I had the money I'd buy it and do stupid things nobody would ever think of like holding a streaking contest and just to really rub it in, I would let Leicester play there for cheaper than CCFC.

I don't think so, seem to recall from the court case that Higgs ended negotiations so they could talk with other parties interested in buying it or similar.

Was that after the rent strike? Would non payment have rent have voided the right to purchase the share? Or was it just done on the basis that the Higgs would hold onto it until the club were ready to buy and not sell to a third party without that ever being formalised.

Not sure if that was going on during the negotiations or not to be honest. Though if it was during that and have voided the right to purchase the share then wouldn't have been negotitions anyway to finish.

Fucked if I know basically.

Seen as a lot of people here have now admitted playing slightly out of your border is not a big deal.

If I had that kind of money I would buy ACL as a whole for 20 million including the loan.
I would buy Nuneaton Town and its stadium.
I would sell the stadium to property developers hopefully making a profit on that front.

I would cash in on bringing a successful team to the Ricoh. Granted there would be a ripple of resistance initially, but when we are in the championship automatic play off places it would disappear. I would have invested about 20 million on players in order to get there.

Then sell the lot for a tidy little profit of about 10 million. After experiencing the thrills of running a successful club. Also if someone fancied bringing CCFC back in the meantime I would consider a ground share.

( just thought I chip in whilst we are having a never gonna happen thread )

I thought you had no issue with playing in Nuneaton and Bedworth

Are they not allowed to come the other way if it suits them of course

I think the option was only doable if there wasn't any money owed by our club to ACL.

You need to chill out Grendel, just recently you've resorted to calling people all sorts and there's no need for it fella. I would say some people on here simply don't care about the politics of it all and see it as quite simply wrong what Sisu have done. Some people however seem to love all the crap and the ins and outs and genuinely need some of reason/ who is right or wrong in this whole sorry saga, either way take a break because resorting to calling people idiots and dickheads is achieving nothing is it ? apart from taking away from some of the very valid points you raise.

Interestingly no one had addressed the question. Sky blue John. Dongle, Duffer, Ron etc. all agree that the Higgs business is worth £6.5 million. Jack provides evidence the charity want out. As many accuse sisu of trying to rip the charity off why can't the council purchase the share. Its clear they will not lose one penny. So answer why doesn't this happen?

Not really a question anyone is going to be able to answer is it? Why don't you ask your councillor? For all we know they've tried to and Higgs have said no!

Is it because sisu value the higgs share at £0.00 and if the council give higgs £6.5m for it sisu will have to take them to court again in their role as the illegal state aid police?

I went up there for the first time in decades last Christmas, it's scandalous that you can't walk through the old buildings where the playground used to be. Wasn't that place gifted to the people of Coventry?

Or maybe they can't buy a share of a business they value as a whole as £0 for £6.5m?

Where have I stated what the share is worth?

All I have ever said it is worth what the Higgs are prepared to sell it for alongside what someone is prepared to pay....

Either way - they don't want to buy it. So they don't value it that highly, no matter how much bluster there is.

Where have I ever claimed to know what its worth?

All I have ever done is quote what Higgs think its worth.

Unlike you I dont claim to know things such as these.

However one thing I know for certain is this. Just like all of us on this forum, YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT ACL IS WORTH.

The fact that you make up this type of nonsense is why no one takes you seriously.
