A poor performance today , wether the transfer hype has got to him or not, but we certainly need help to keep in that top 6 , so Hughes or Wolfie anyone ?

No,,,, ffs, so if Wolfie came and he has a poor game or kitching has one, what do we do?? Put Bidwell and Lati in!? For gods sake, this is classic we need squad depth so no player is guaranteed to be in the side… play bad and you risk getting dropped

Not sure either of those 2 would of made a difference to the goals we conceded, dont think we’ll be getting Hughes so hopefully we can get woolfenden in,

Not this late in the window unless we got both Hughes and Wolfenden, and there’s no guarantee we will get either

It surprises me that any bid over £5m wasn't accepted.

Clearly we weren't (and aren't) prepared with alternative CBs to bring in.

£8 million is a wild overpay for Thomas but unless you have a guaranteed replacement ready to go on Monday morning then you can’t sell now, not while we’re in such a good position.

You have to time your sales.

We don't have a centre-half in despite badly needing one. We're not going to sell one of the ones we do have.

There must be plenty players out there who are a similar level to Thomas. I don't understand how our recruitment team hasn't found any.

It was obvious today we need Torp off 2nd half and maybe a more defensive midfielder. Sheaf shoukd have come onto help Grimes...who was helpless.

Poor subs and or lack of. Lampard really let his team down. Wtf was he watching? We capitulation and all over the shop for about 40 mins in the 2nd half.

Yeah, I really don’t understand why we have put some much on Hughes. His value is being ridiculously overvalued (no way will he solve our defensive issues overnight). We really should be going for better valued alternatives at this point.

Fucking ridiculous challenge first half when we can't defend set pieces, first half he was a fucking twat.Second half Kitchin took his twat roll of him.

Both of them get drawn into personal battles too easily. I rate them both but they need competition. Goal we conceded against QPR was because Kitching was too busy trying to kill one of their players instead of defending the box (they’d had an altercation moments before kick was taken)

Thomas isn’t and never will be a £8m player. He’s a good champ CH. You can pick them up for 1-2m without any issues.
Except at 24 he has 10 years as a CB and improvement still in him, plus he scores goals too.

We need another CB for sure to add competition but reactionary looking for issues when hes more than fine.

Everyone seems to be forgetting we finished 5th last season. That was after a poor start, a manager change and with Collins in goal.

This season we've lost Binks and added 3 for competition. Some of the players are now settled, a year older and more experienced at the level.

We'll be fine and so are most of these players.

AND WE OWN OUR FUCKING GROUND!!!

Agree with this and perhaps the Sheaf deal explains Lampards reluctance as an injury could have cost the club 6.5 million.
Watching the game back the first free kick that lead to the goal was so avoidable and Thomas need to be much more street wise in those situations.

By my reakoning, Thomas has been at fault for 50% of all the league goals we've conceded this season.
