That by the end of November we would be top of the league, with the top goalscorer in the league, on an unbeaten run of 10 games, having scored 3, 4 and another 4 in our last 3 homes games and had also signed Joe Cole .....

Just how crazy and deluded would you have said that person was?

First day of the season I was in Spain with some Charlton friends. Asked what me expectations for the season I said I would be happy with mid table. He was amazed at my low expectations.
i think that I was used to no hope and misery, I really did not enjoy my Saturday's. I am so made up at the moment and enjoying the ride. I keep trying to convince myself it feels different this time and it does, however there is a little scepticism inside of me that I keep trying to subdue.

Although the lack of signings did concern me, the message I was hearing from within the Club was that "They were going for It".
Wish I'd had the guts to lump some on.

to be honest I thought we would challenge the top 6 The blank canvas Mowbray had to work with was perfect for him, top in November maybe not, but this is a top manager, knows what it takes, time to bang him on a longer contract Joy

I don't see why he'd avoid playing if he was stalling. Cup games maybe, but it doesn't make sense in the league.

Agree even if he was ccfc are still paying his wages so you get the most out of him TM doesn't seem that petty.

Having listened to such crazy stuff about our club for the past few years, that actually came true, I still would have found this one hard to believe, well unless Mowbray had said it.

Not a chance he is stalling. Every game I've seen us win so far he has been pumped at the end. Sure he wants to play at a higher level, they all do - but I don't for one second doubt that if we get promoted he will leave us... famous last words!

After staying up on the last game of the season at Crawley, I would be happy going into the final game this season knowing that we weren't in danger of being relegated.
