Being as I have time on my hands and I am a bit of a numbers freak (you've probably noticed) I thought I would dream of what may be.

Assuming we had got promoted last season instead of Norwich realisticly what sort of crowds could we have expected in the Premiership next season.

Rather than just stab at a figure I have assessed each away club, the potential away support and the probable CCFC fan base.

Assumptions
Capacity of 31,000 (lose 500 for elf'n'safety reasons)
Maximum of 6,000 away supporters

Forecast (descending order)

Man U /Home Fans 25,000 / Away Fans 6,000 / Total 31,000
A Villa /24,000/6,000/30,000
Arsenal /24,000/5,000/29,000
Liverpool /23,000/6,000/29,000
Chelsea /24,000/4,000/28,000
Man C /23,000/5,000/28,000
Newcastle /22,000/6,000/28,000
WBA /23,000/5,000/28,000
Wolves /23,000/5,000/28,000
Spurs /23,000/4,000/27,000
Everton /23,000/3,000/26,000
Blackburn /23,000/2,000/25,000
Bolton /23,000/2,000/25,000
Stoke City /21,000/4,000/25,000
Fulham /22,000/2,000/24,000
Sunderland /20,000/4,000/24,000
Swansea /20,000/3,000/23,000
QPR /20,000/2,000/22,000
Wigan /20,000/2,000/22,000

From the above 19 home games the average gate would be: 26,400
Average home fans 22,400
Average away fans: 4,000

There you have it then more useless info to digest you may say but nevertheless I don't think it is too far away do you.

Incidently affix an "average" ticket price of say £28 per game and the gate receipts would be in excess of £14M !!!

You only have to give away fans 3000 in the prem,
I thin 25+ a game depending on results and how well we are playing

And the ricoh holds 32,600
And most teams split fans up by around 2 rows and a row of stewards so I think easy 32,100

Err no it wouldn't!

Sorry to pee on your bonfire, but I reckion most of those would be season ticket holders (which average half the price of a matchday fee) and even then there would be concessions. More like an increase to approx £7m so up abpprox £3-£4m on current (with 23 games down to 19).

The full ground would help the team and the whole profile and vibe would improve but entrance fees are dwarfed by the revenue from the PL and Sky.

What a pointless thread, have you tried doing one for division 3?

You could base it on our attendances

And halve them.

;)

If you're going to load them then you can hardly complain when someone wants to fire them.

I think there is one glaring problem with that estimate.

The ticket price would be considerably higher. I doubt it would be £28.

I could see somewhere more likely £38

Now summarise again and base it on an average of about 26,000 per game.
The numbers can be startlingly different. It's all if's in football....

You really must be a complete loser if you spend most of your time on another clubs website!

Most of my time?

Silly boy, I can read without running my finger along underneath, and it doesn't take me 30 minutes to think of a reply.

yes and your replies are so witty, maybe they kicked you off the foxface website so you have to come and annoy some real football fans.
