Why does anyone care if they receive £590,000 or not. The money is a holding account and the football league will decide what is owed.

All anyone is bothered about on here is CCFC - right?

Well heres one reason: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-28206017

Sisu trying to rape our city to pay for their own incompetence.

If they get their money it'll put pressure on them to react, especially after their statement yesterday.

It's one of many bridges that need to be crossed to enable the team to come home.

Is that too difficult for you to understand. It directly reduces the chance of the club coming home.

And that's before you even start to consider the full force of punishment available to the FL to use against the club for sisu not meeting the obligation that they agreed to.

How much money is in the holding account by the way?

If it was all about return on revenues, I'd be campaigning for the football club never to come back, and the arena to be bulldozed for housing.

All I'm bothered about is CCFC - yes.

However, ACL have said they won't deal unless they get the money.

So yes, I do care if they receive it. I want us back in Cov.

Come on Grendel this thread is ridiculous, they have been told to pay an amount by the FL fact. They have with held that payment cause they don't agree with ACL calling in money they are legally entitled to from a guarantor, the reason most people give a shit is cause if the football league see fit they could kick us out of the league for it (won't happen as Sisu have taken the correct actions to inform FL of their intentions).

Most people are just fed up with their actions and strangely the only people who ever defend them are the ones who have had a special private meeting with mr bullshit Mark Largetit, how about for once they just do things right and maybe just maybe start building these bridges they keep going on about.

Please explain why if we're not playing there the 'Escrow' account has to be topped-up?

We are talking about a ring fenced account which is, in effect, similar or is an escrow account. The money is held by the FL to pay the 590K agreed by SISU with the football league to recompensate ACL for the money they would have got had they accepted the CVA - not for ongoing rent. The football league won't give the money back to SISU in case ACL can claim it later from them. SISU don't want the FL to release without first considering the implications of monies received by ACL from the guarantors. The FL don't want to do that before their meeting on 07. August. So more limbo land. This time the argument is about 300K, which in the great scheme of things here, is not really relevant. One could say "look lads, we have had enough rows, why don't we just go 50-50 on the difference. The fl gives ACL 590k - 150K and we move on. One could of course keep arguing, have more litigation and lose more points as a punishment. Which of these is the normal SISU approach?

SISU's responsibility is to pay the full monies into the ESCROW.. and now the FL have stated this has occurred. So the club is not going to be subject to any penalties. This is by far the more pressing fact that has been clarified at least.

It is now the duty of the FL to investigate the claim about the 300K, and then release monies accordingly. As far as we are concerned the matter is being dealt with. Not sure why everyone is getting upset about the fact ACL have not had their money yet. If the 300K is not connected then they should present the evidence accordingly, and let the FL decide, just as the club have every right to question the money called in from the guarantor.

Dropping the legal action is now what SISU should do to demonstrate their intention to make a deal happen. Their open letter did not mention impending legal action or the appeal at all.

Maybe we're finally getting somewhere.

I'm bothered if there is money that is owed and needs to be paid, but in the whole scheme of things, I just want Coventry City back at the Ricoh, so from a Sky Blue tinted glasses perspective I am not bothered at all.

And I think that is what you are hinting at.

I am -- however it seems to me the Football League has advised the money is not owed -- hence the ACL statement and the CCFC "open letter" -- it will be another reason not to do business.

Given that it's very like sisu will lose the appeal, they (or our club) will end up paying these costs anyway.

SISU are not bothered about paying.
The FL are not bothered about our club.
ACL are now not bothered about the finances of Ccfc not returning.
Council not bothered about the JR outcome.
I can't do anything to get them back so, guess what ...
I'm not bothered.

I care about many many things. In fact, CCFC probably doesn't even get into the top 20. Pretty much top of things I care about are honesty, fairness and being nice.

I care that justice is done, first and foremost. If that means the club lose out because of the wider issues of fairness, then good.

I don't want a club that succeeds on the basis of trying to destroy its benefactors and reneging on its obligations

We don't know how much is in the holding account and statements from Sisu have been vague on how much has been put in which is worrying. If the full amount hasn't been put in and therefore doesn't get paid what happens then? Are we liable to get (at the very least) another points deduction if the FL get a backbone on this and decide to be firm? Does anyone want that?

Who says it isn't their money other than SISU or anyone that sides with SISU and not wanting our club to come home. It is a big hurdle to get over which shouldn't exist. But SISU don't want to bring our club home so will use it as an excuse not to do so. Are you happy with this Grendel?

Fans of the passionate clubs w
ould only care about their football club.

If justice and honesty are so important to you, then you are probably following the wrong sport.

Funny that the ones who bang on about what is wrong or right probably did not care when we signed Marlon King. Perhaps they even joined in with the abuse of AL, who has now become their leader.

I expect you are equally supportive and understanding of ACL if they overcharge CCFC on the rent then? Or does the rent have to be fair?

1. I can follow whatever sport I want to - I don't need your permission.
2. I can prioritise football wherever I want in my life. I don't give a shit whether you think that makes me a 'real fan' or not.
3. Wrong - I refused to attend whist King was there. My last comment on the matter is below.

So where did you get your "probably" from? Made it up right? Because as someone who clearly understands probability a little better than you, I would assume that people that think that honesty and justice are important are more likely to be anti-King , not less.

I thought the FL had confirmed the whole £590k had been put in the holding account?
