You would have thought that with sisu and CCC both having new leaders they could at least have met to get and sort some of this shit out....

SISU don't have a new leader, of course

But yes, point taken but then... isn't that the hook and the major priority? Forget who's right, who's wrong... just push them to at least talk (with no prior conditions from either side!)

much the same as the council & SISU the Trust & the owners have to step back and re-evaluate their relationship. Let's be clear that this was an ownership that only comparatively recently started to open up and communicate with the fanbase (whether it was a tactical move in relation to the rent issues, original ACL issues etc. is open to debate).
The Trust need to take a more balanced approach to the ownership and deal with them on an issue by issue basis - not a blanket negative approach.
Going forward if we are to move to the BPA or somewhere else there does need to be constructive communication between the ownership and larger supporters groups.

Interesting this, because in truth I was starting to think that I was the only one who felt that the Trust are far too pro-Wasps. I'm not asking for them to boycott Wasps, I just want them to ignore them and quit lining up with the Council to demand that the club talk to them. Many of us do not want the club to get into bed with Wasps, I don't know what's so hard about that to understand.

The openly anti-SISU stand, whilst also understandable is an absolute disaster too, it just gives the club an excuse to disregard the Trust.

The outrage the trust might want to focus on now, is how the council have tried to bully CRFC out of talking to CCFC. What you're seeing here (imho) is the Council trying to force CCFC to stay at the Ricoh, after literally selling it from under them. Effectively this is Coventry City Council taking sides with a franchise rugby team against the two clubs established in the city for over a hundred years. I find it completely amazing and simultaneously incredibly stupid - if you want clear evidence of how the council will attempt anything to get one over on SISU there it is. It's almost like the council enjoy being in court!

So, here's a pragmatic line that keeps everyone happy.

It's a start, eh?

Other than the "Keep Cov in Cov" campaign, which incidently was well managed and organised what have the trust done?
I'm guessing heavy involvement with the Jimmy Hill service and memorial?
I do agree that their appears to be no stadegy or obvious direction moving forward, but what realistically can we expect the Trust to achieve?

On a side note I heard the Ricoh being referred to as "The Nest" the other day.

The way tony is banging his drum about anonymity and keyboard warriors, I'm guessing he must really be making a difference himself and putting himself in the spotlight to help the club....

I don't know who you are either, here's a hint just because you used tony in your username it doesn't really narrow it down. The name is not exclusive to you

Never said I was, also never started a thread from an anonymous account stating what anonymous me would do if I was in the public eye. Which of course he never will be.

This public eye thing is somewhat absurd. Other than one persons name who in the Trust do you actually know?

Sadly, the whole Boycott games stuff seems to be rearing it's head again.

Everybody needs to get down and support the team (players / manager)

Well, I've at least given you the pleasure of being able to address me by my own name. I'm guessing your name isn't Cuthbert Cecil Farquhar Carruthers.

That's why we need you in there. To mix it up a little. If you stand I'll vote for you. Can't say fairer than that.

Tony, it is only really you trying to take it off topic this time... Why not comment on the post?

Stand for what exactly? What is the constitution? I have been a member for two years and have not voted on anything or been offered the chance.

Again, with respect, you constantly whine about not answering questions but avoid an answer. I would need to know how to formulate a mission statement that would align everyone. I am very black and white on this and the only objective is the continued existence of the club and that the club is the major club in the City. All aims and objectives would centre around that. Instead of being a petulant child answer the question.

Didn't they ask for people to put themselves forward a while back as some of the current board were looking to stand down? Have a vague memory of that and nobody putting themselves forward.

With respect you have not. I have said what I think on my first thread and I have stated what I think is a correct approach for a football trust.

I am actually trying to be reasonable and engage debate.

How should we deal with the parties as outlined and what is the aims and objectives and the mission statement?

What are you frightened of? Why cannot you have an engaged discussion?

There you go. It sounds like all Grendull has to do is put himself forward and he's already got one foot in the hot seat.

So basically an election can be called if one member says so?

Why are you so immature? Why will you not even attempt to discuss the issues?

I think Dave might have just explained why an election could be called in the post I replied to. Could be wrong but the way I read it was that board members want to leave but nobody is willing to step up. You might not even need an election, it might just be a formality if you volunteer. But don't worry. If it takes an election you can count on my vote.

Again you refuse to actually answer the question - what should the mission statement be? What do you think of the issues I raise? Why can you not answer in a mature and sensible way.

Difference is I don't look down my nose at people who want to remain anonymous whilst they are doing the same like tony did. Certainly wouldn't want some of the head-cases on here to know who I am or what I do in my personal life.
