ACL care only about themselves. They have a duty to their shareholders and not supporters. They are touting potential owners of an organisation they have no ownership of. They wanted to appoint an administrator who has a history of getting clubs huge points penalties when in and exiting administration. They and their council bosses have charged the football club more than any other club outside the Premiership for the privilege of playing at the stadium while taking all the revenue.

Ask yourself this -- would ACL care less how SISU were piling up debts if they were still getting their pound of flesh?

When will everybody learn that when you disagree with Grendel or Torchomatice you are in the wrong, according to them Shaquille O'Neill actually more resembles Warrwick Davis and if you disagree they will shout you down or belittle you!

Don't have an opinion which is A. Different to theres or B. slags off SISU because even after all said and done ACL are crooked and SISU are the businesspeople of the year.

Agree with you there. I hate this synical view of the world where all business people are considered to be completely lacking in morals. Sisu are not the norm.

Doesn't seem to be shouting anyone down. Just making a few points. I don't agree with everything they say but it only seems to be the ones that think the exact opposite to them that accuse them of belittling.

Although I have always sided with the Club - and against ACL if you will - I don't think it's a case that ACL don't care. I think they've just been surprised by the lengths SISU have gone to to get their way. Both sides care about themselves, the club comes secondary to that; ACL for their shareholders and SISU for their investors. I'm sure they both want a successful club, after all, it would make them more money, but ultimately, the club and the fans will always be down the pecking order.

Not true, well, I don't think so yesterday. It was like last week when you said someone (Can't remember who) made a "fantastic point", I asked what that was as I couldn't see it. That's all I said. Then, you start saying I think I'm never wrong and I'm a bully and then you start hurling abuse. And personally, I think you're a bit of a stalker as we are mentioned in most posts you make.

Why didn't they wait until after the cut off point for losing 10 points this season for administration before pursuing forcing the issue? Surly a few weeks would have made very little difference?

OK, so we messed up on the pitch which ended our play off dream but had we performed how would you feel now if we were top 6 and facing the deduction?

ACL are no angels but seem to care little about CCFC in reality despite what they say. The sooner we are rid them and SISU the better.

It was done in a last ditch attempt to recoup their rental arrears which Fishy racked up of his own accord. ARVO's admin order has prevented any chance of rent being recovered.

I thought you'd have a better answer than that. Seriously I know council lots who give up every spare moment dealing with their constituents and local issues for the good of their community. They are not all angels but if they are taking backhanders they are very small or they are great at hiding them. I recognise there are favours and business trips etc

Sorry, but I do not trust politicians in general.

Very, very few who I have ever trusted.

And look at the Prime Minister's we have had as an example.

Would you have trusted Thatcher? Blair? Brown? Cameron?

Surely the answer to that is no on all counts. So much corruption and self-interest riddles our governments, national and local alike.

I would trust the local council over a government any day, and I am sure there are many fine upstanding individuals, but still, the sum of all the parts usually results in some kind of monstrosity.

Can't think of the last Coventry City Council I truly had faith in.

Agree, no politician can be trusted. And the worst of the lot are local politicians. It's breathtaking that these people can walk off the street and make decisions that affect the lives of thousands of people.

Trust me they do as you have never been on the end of it, I generally disagree wtih both what Grndal and Torch say but I am happy to let them have their opinion but it is not given the other way and there are a lot of otehr uers who feel the same way I do.

It's all about opinion based on fact and how it's interpreted to be honest, i just cannot stand people who just ingnore what others say and cherry pick comments to support their arguments and note torch likes your comment, says a lot.

I read the forum though! I haven't seen them shout people down, I've seen them make points that people don't like (that you don't agree with by the way, but you won't listen to their points either as you have suggested they do with yours) and get sarcastic. They're not the only ones who get sarcastic though, this forum's full of it! Yet because their views are different to a lot on here they "shout people down". I'd make this exact point if it was the other way round too.

And so what if he's "liked" my comment?!

Me neither. Sorry, was I bullying, abusing or shouting you down with those two words?

"Shouting down" is a favourite phrase that is used when someone doesn't agree with what someone else says. If you really looked into posts, you would see that there certainly is a lot of abuse thrown around for example, but not from me. I'm more sarcastic apparently.

You must be on a different planet to the rest of us then!
Very rarely do they make legitimate posts on any subject, but instead use sarcasm to the utmost degree, whereupon posters like myself retaliate.

Let's be clear - as I've stated on here before - the directors of ACL have to act in the best interests of their own limited company by law. They may have a regard for CCFC, but that must always come within the framework of the protection their own interests.

It's one of the drivers which forced the timing of the administration call - as they can't allow their biggest debtor to enter liquidation (as was threatened by two directors) without taking decisive action. Once understanding that fact, it must also be clearly be understood that their foremost interest must be ACL.

As an aside, I don't share the deeply jaundiced view they they don't care at all for the club, I believe they do to an extent, and I also believe that they saw administration as better than the threatened liquidation with regards the club itself

How is the first line to this going to make me think "wait a minute, I must be wrong and they must be right"?! Because I've put forward a different thought process to you, explained what I've seen and done it in a rational, non-argumentative way I must be "on another planet"?! Fantastic... To be honest, I wish I was!

They have been screwing the club for a huge rent they could ill afford....Paul Fletcher tried to get them to reduce it when he was here...and who was in charge then? none other than Daniel Gidney, who helped pave the way for SISU to take over and who was buddies with Ray Ranson...Then tried to play the moral high ground when he resigned, citing his reason for this was, he couldn't stay and watch the Arena being sold to SISU.
IMO a lot of people have a lot of questions to answe going back a long time, for the mess we are in..

The council cared enough about CCFC fans to build a stadium for their team to play in. They created ACL to run it and agreed a rent which the club was happy to pay.

CCFC sold the stadium they did own - pocketed the money and had no idea how they were going to serve their customers. What they should have done is gone to SISU in the first place - they would have built a stadium and charged them nothing for it...........
