Getting back on topic, which was lost by the second post, I think an AFC Coventry would get around 1000-1500.

Bearing in mind the best supported teams at that level currently get about 120, AFC Coventry should fly up those leagues. Especially as it would be run well.

So you wouldn't like the idea because of what a total stranger said on a internet forum 6 years ago?

Good to know you've based your decision on sound reasoning and logical thought.

With all due respect I don't think it would. It's simply folly to think a new club wouldn't have management issues in the first couple of years while ownership structure wasn't tested and fans emotions are high with a lot riding on it.

How it was run would be my biggest fear. It's very easy for a trust board to get very cliquey, and we've already seen people try it on their own (Cov Utd) and people on here make claims that "plans are in the works" without letting everyone in.

I'm 100% behind fan ownership, but how it works has to be thought through very quickly.

Id call it pro ccfc that people don't want to support another team

there's quite a few on here that don't seem interested in football, they just enjoy riding the sisu hating bandwagon.

There's an argument to be made that more people would talk about football if we had a team we could watch in our city.

It's reasonable for the focus to be on off field issues this season.

The question has to be, where's the logic in constantly defending out owners?

Theres quite a few of us on here that haven't seen many games this season so it would be wrong of us to post about something we haven't really seen wouldn't it?

As for sisu hating, don't you hate them?

no doubt. There are certain posters however, who never post on match threads etc. They just want to whinge and moan and accuse people who disagree with them of having multiple accounts or being sisu lovers.

I hate the lot of them, sisu, ACL and previous regimes who've made a hash of our club. I just don't feel the need to crash every thread with the same tired old crap. Sometimes it's nice to talk football. Although doesn't happen very often anymore.

Disagree. May at the start but people would drift away once reality set in.
Already is a breakaway club if people have forgot, Coventry Utd and there not getting big attendances & whats wrong with Coventry Sphinx?
Not for me or many people have said before, same thread that appears every few weeks

Coventry United was done in the wrong way and is perceived as trying to cash in. Fan ownership would make things different, however, agree some would still drift. It all depends if it is done in the right way with the right backing. Would need to be democratic.

The same can be said of both sides. Crazies and accusations everywhere.

The only thing I'd say is I can understand the passion against moving the club out of Cov can spill into crazy, but as I said before I don't understand the passion on the other side.

That's the thing that has amazed me most and is something that even if we do come out of it the other side will stay with me...The views of those 'shoulder shruggers' who have watched our club being slowly dismantled then moved out of our city and whilst not necessarily being vocally supportive of it have remained in the main silent, citing the fact that SISU are hedge fund heavies who won't listen as the reason for their lack of condemnation for what they've done and for many their continued financial endorsement of the move to Shitfields....Note I said 'Shitfields'....childish, side splitting for Matesx but due to my anger about what these tossers have done to my club makes me feel just a tiny bit better. Can't understand any passionate COVENTRY fan not being feckin angry that they've taken our club away from us.....appears there are a fair few though.

Best example is the Les Reid arse kissers on Twitter.

Anyone who dares to criticise sisu are branded as "rabid anti sisu" by Les and his supporters.

They mean it as an insult, however I take it as a compliment. We should all be rabid anti sisu after what they've done.

Exactly..how could anyone not be? Whilst acknowledging that there is blame on all sides to a certain extent only one party is stopping us from playing in our home city possibly for years to come but it would appear that some are pretty chilled out about that...beggars belief.

I know what your saying but still think it wouldn't take off. Most of the people in Coventry can't be bothered to support their own team. Some of us who live outside the City would have no affiliation with the new club unless CCFC ceased to exists and just move onto our own town clubs, in my case Bedworth.
Once reality hit home and the new club weren't winning 10-0 every week they wouldnt bother and be down to 100/200 every week

I'm sure a new club could pull in at least 1618 people.
