block 16, right infront of all of it...

It's weird how people down there didn't hear it and make out nothing happened.

It was really clear right down the other end if the stand.

I'm just past halfway up 16 and I thought the ref had blown up.

I am in 16 too and nobody around me heard it. I can only assume that as we were in the part of the ground where they were being blown, we had become somewhat immune to it and it just didn't register.

It could have been or if somebody shouted at the same time.

It was clear as day at the other end though, it was an individual one that sounded like the ref that happened a few times through the game.

How do you explain the many people who have said it happened. And Bolton fans saying the same? They're all wrong and you're right, I suppose.

Aye. Either that or I need to get my ears dewaxed! My eyesight is going as it is, if my hearing follows then I'm truly fucked.

And I strongly believe a blow like that at the death affected the sit in! Had we have won I strongly feel more would of stayed! Me plus 6 in blk20 were going to stay with blk16 but after #whistlegate I couldn't stay with the whistling kids! I'd of ended up ramming one down someone's throat!

And obviously all the people that didn't hear it are wrong then?

And Bolton fans were as pissed off by the random whistles as most of us were I guess, so I imagine would say anything to make the whistle twats look bad.

Simple fact is it would be very easy for lots of people to not hear it, especially if they were wrapped up in the game, but Nick is making it a conspiracy that people in block 15 are denying it happened. All I see is, like me, lots of people did not hear it. I'm in block 19, so fooks Nicks conspiracy up a bit...

I'm not saying it didn't happen (or that it did). I would have thought though if there had been a whistle that caused our players to stop, they would have been straight round the ref complaining for all it's worth. Did that happen?

About 30 people who have joined a bandwagon of people saying it, compared to the other 300 who have said it never affected them at all...

It's no surprise that the usual suspects on here are angry about it. You just make up bullshit to turn on fans, it's what you're only good at doing.

No, it isn't a conspiracy theory. It is saying that most of the people in and around the protests didn't hear it or are straight up denying it happened.

Who has mentioned a conspiracy apart from you?

The same as you could post saying Seppalla is at the game when it blatantly wasn't her?

I'd say it's a bit more than 30 and hardly a bandwagon when people left the game pissed off and were talking about it on the way out.

Maybe, if some fans didn't act like complete twats and do things like that then none of this would happen and be discussed? Maybe if there wasn't a whistle blown while we were holding onto a good win or if people didn't run on the pitch when we were holding on to a decent draw then it wouldn't even be discussed.

Who has blamed them for "all our demises"? It's almost as if you are making things up again after you have just accused others of it because it isn't what you wanted to hear.

I can understand it if there was just 1 or 2 on here saying it, but it really isn't.

Ah ok. You're right and everyone else is wrong. Those on here, those in the crowd, those talking about it outside and those on social media.

This "I'm right so shut up" attitude isn't going to do you and the cause any favours as you have zero respect for anyone or anything.

If you actually do having a hearing disability then I apologise.

I was hardly using it against you, as I had no idea as if I did know about a disability then I wouldn't "use it against" you.

Have you posted about it on here? If so, I must have missed it.

By saying some fans act like complete twats? Behave, let's not pretend blowing whistles to try and put players off during a game of football isn't a twattish thing to do.

It's not the best, but I'd never call fellow fans twats who are trying to do ANYTHING to get the attention of Tim and Co, you on the other hand...

Which question?

If people have no idea about a disability and clearly aren't using it against somebody then what would be expected to be done? If however I had known about it (I still have no idea, as I wouldn't use it against you so it's irrelevant) and then had said "well CJ has a disability so wouldnt know anyway" then you would have a point.

Do you really think I knew about a disability and used it against you, or is this some awful attempt at trying to make me look bad because I have pointed something out?

Deliberate or not, even if it was to just distract their players it backfired

That's the thing, very quick to cry about dividing the fans but look how much division a whistle causes but you justify it because they are just letting tim and co know.

It's irrelevant why they did it, the point is it did distract the players. The protests - whether organised by whoever they are called this week - will lose sympathy if it starts to affect the team on the pitch. We are in the bottom four and need every point we can get. Fans contributing to us losing points (whether deliberate or not) is unforgivable.

I don't know for certain if things will or won't happen. It's fair to assume that they will though isn't it?

For the record whistles should not have been blown during the game. It needs to stop. The protest after the game that the JHW organised and like many others, I actively supported was a relative success. Everyone behaved themselves and didn't do anything untoward. We left without being asked to but if a steward/police officer had asked us to we would've done so straight away. It was always going to happen that way.

It was the first home game for Russell Slade and three players so the JHW made it clear that the idea was to support the team and not protest during the game. They decided to stage a protest afterwards. In my opinion this was the right thing to do. Unfortunately the focus has not been on a decent performance, a half decent game or a good protest afterwards but on a very small number of people blowing whistles.

However it must be said that their second goal (and our's FWIW which is what I originally thought) did not happen due to one being blown. It happened due to two players switching off and them scoring from a perfectly good passage of play. It happens sometimes. Look at Willis' goal on Saturday. Two defenders just stood there completely still, watching him score. Was it caused by a fan blowing a whistle? No. They did so because they're League One footballers that happen to switch off from time to time.

I think I can see what you're trying to say with regards to the location of the tweets from both my account and the one belonging to The JHW. You must mean that we've both posted tweets in Neal's Green in the past 24 hours. As in the same Neal's Green where the Ricoh Arena is. The same Ricoh Arena where a casino is located that I was stood in from around midday. The same Ricoh Arena where I attended a game that kicked off at 3pm. The same Ricoh Arena I am currently looking at through the landing window at 1:15am?

and that's why people need to use their loaves a little bit because this had deflected attention from a well organised, peaceful, legitimate protest that went on after the game.

Whether it affected the game or not it's proved divisive and has caused friction among the support, as if we needed any more reasons to be at each others throats.

sisu will be loving this.
