Does he have a Bat-phone or what?

It's like a direct line to Commissioner Gordon.

The most miserable person I've ever listened to. Fortunately I've usually missed part of his call when I get back to the car.

Bet he's got CWR's number set in his phone and hovers his finger over their name so that when they say "The lines are now open" he stabs at the button and gets through! Sad twat!
Mind you, I blame the production crew. When I worked for CWR, if there was a phone in, one of the crew spoke to the person first and if we didn't like the sound of them or they were annoying twats, we told them to "hang up and we'd call them back!" We never did!

I told the miserable toad to keep away from the Ricoh but he still pops up giving out large portions of negativity.

All critical of CCFC and when asked what he would do to improve matters he mumbled and said dunno - what a jerk

Down to CWR at the end of the day. They have plenty of people ringing up. All they need to say to him is that there are other callers whose voices need to be heard and he can wait a while in a queue.

Would love to be in the commentary box when he rings in. Bet there's load of rolls of eyes when he's announced as the first caller.

He suggested stopping the diamond and pointed to Thorn's record. You can't argue with the facts that we've only won one game in 10 this season, but I think that's personnel not systems. We are not good enough and he can't coach or select what isn't there to start with. He's making the most of what little we have available and using the diamond, 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or whatever else is irrelevant if if you don't have players of the right calibre to succeed.

True. You can change systems all day long, but with the players we've got it's going to be a continual battle to make any system work.

Yeah' Ian and Clive make a good double act, with Ian as the straight Man, what a bumbling pair of prats.

I feel sorry for Mrs. Ian.

The man makes Nick Drake look like the Mr. Men's Mr. Happy.

Hmmmmm........... actually, Nick Drake killed himself. I wonder if he used to have a phone-in?

"Nick, we have our first caller, who wants to talk about your new album. His name is Ian and he's on line one ....................... Nick? Nick? Nick!!!!!!! Quick, someone dial 999, I think he's just topped himself"

Thanks for that, Ian.

We would like to get on the radio for sure. Seems like we would have to crawl over Ian's dead body first though.

And speaks sense? The guy goes on after every game and moans. That's about it.

Ohh, and first piece of evidence for the prosecution.

Defence: 'Speaks more sense than all you prats.'

Prosecution: "Transcript, your honour. Almost word for word what occurred one Saturday at 5 mins to 5."

"First caller on line one. It's Ian."

Eakin: "Hi Ian, what did you think?"

Ian: "I don't know, Clive. What did you think?"

The prosecution rests, m'lud.

I'm pretty sure they call him to be honest, sure I heard that somewhere...personally I think he speaks a fair bit of sense but like all of us he can get carried away.

I wish he did speak sense, but alas not on 99% of occasions. He just seems to come on to moan. even when we get a hard earned draw. I recall the one game last season under AB when we played really, really well, had about 23 shots on goal, hit the bar a couple of times and were very, very unlucky. It was 0-0 but a very entertaining game. It was an excellent performance against all the dross that had gone on before it in previous games and a lot of people applauded the City off the park.

Ian promptly came on and said it was awful. I recall Clive Eakin being absolutely astonished. Sorry, but the guy just moans and hardly ever says anything constructive!!

Very rarely do I feel that I have been to the same game as him.

Is it not possible CWR ring him to get him on. After all he causes enough debate and gives the radio programme much needed publicity. I have in the past sent the odd text and I have been called asking if I want to go on.

Are you on about the Preston game Otis? We battered them that day, but I think we lost 1-0.

A memorable game...David Bell, on comeback from injury and without any match fitness, had an absolute blinder. He even tackled and beat his man, too!
