I'm going to the Ricoh today but I did think about going to Northampton to start with a few months back.

Today at Ricoh will be a number of coventry fans who like me will be missing their first home game in years. I wonder how many of us will at 3.00 will think i wish I was at Northampton.

Whilst at Northampton I wonder how many city fans there will sit down and think I wish I'd gone to the Ricoh.

Will be interested to hear off ppl at Northampton as to what the atmosphere was like and if they change there mind about going.

Speedie, today I'll be missing my first home match since 1970. Been supporting City avidly since 1959 as a kid, when my dad took me. I've missed five home games since I started in '59. I've travelled all over the country from Inverness to Plymouth watching them, pointless friendlies, stupid Simod cup games. I'm sure there are plenty of City fans with similar tales.
It will be weird not supporting my team. But they don't play in Coventry and there is no realistic possibility they ever will again under these malevolent owners.
So, I'll be giving two fingers to those bastards today. I will never set foot in Sixfields.
This is the only way. I'll rejoice when we come back to Coventry.
If with Sisu I won't like it and will wish them gone, but I'll go.
If with a new owner I'll look forward to better times hopefully.
If they show no signs of coming back I'll put my support behind the new CCFC playing in Coventry. We'll take back our history while we're at it.

History is linear as 1 afc Wimbledon fan said and he's right. i always think of the afc Wimbledon fans when there is mention of their fa cup heroics against Liverpool, not mk dons. i'm sure real football fans (ie not the fl and fa) will do the same with a new ccfc should it be required, which i'm coming to accept more and more each day.
