I will only go and watch the city in northampton when a site has been
Confirmed and building work has started. I can then say its only until the ground is built that I'm here not just just turning up not knowing how long we're going to be there like now. Even if this ground is built outside of coventry let's face it we all want to to be in but it's not going to be . The Ricoh is less than a mile from being outside the coventry area coventry. I live in bedworth and the Ricoh is closer to my house than people living in most coventry areas. I will stand my ground and be patient lets just see what happens

You make the mistake that you think SISU play by normal rules. They do not. But I think they have under estimated the hate they have created. They have assumed that they can high jack a club with history, passionate fans and a real potential future and then with the support of the FL they can fill their boots. But SISU wake up, you are failing! You will fail. You will loose. We may also loose our beloved Coventry City. But I will say now that a Coventry Club will be back. And without the horror that is SISU.

Yeah, you've got to hate when people say something that turns out to be bullshit.

In 20 years "Why don't you support Coventry City daddy?"
"Well son, the ground is one mile outside an arbitrary line that doesn't really mean anything, so I'm not going to take you to any games"

Too late for that my son feels the same.
He won't go anywhere near Northampton, unfortunately may have lost him as a supporter forever.

Thank You and fuck you Sisu.
Then people ask me why I am so bitter towards them. Took my son and his 3 mates to every home game for over 10 years, they have all now lost interest. just me and my Bro left but not for long.

Thing is with this, just how far would you take this stance? 1 mile outside? 1/2 a mile outside? 100 ft outside? 1 inch outside?

What if it was one inch outside the city limit? I just don't think anyone can be so clear cut in their thinking here and common sense surely needs to be applied.

Yes sure, if it were 10 miles outside, or 15, but 3? 5? Would that really make that much of difference? There's a number of clubs who don't actually play in their cities.

If it is close then I don't see the problem. The problem for me is that of moving into a much smaller stadium and doing so whilst playing elsewhere for god knows how many years and alienating thousands of fans in the process.

That is so much more of a concern to me than whether it is just inside the boundary or just outside.

It's a very black and white issue for me, anything outside of the city doesn't matter 10 foot or 100 miles, outside is outside. Lets not forget why they're doing this. The stadium will never be built, we know this, they know this, the council know it. Lets just get back to the Ricoh under a fair deal for all concerned.

Sooner or later SISU will realise they are onto a loser. They are playing by thier own rules.

Make no mistake the next generation will have moved on.

Very sadly it will take around 5 years to be proved right.

Ask your self a simple question, how many new young fans will CCFC attract playing in Northampton that will follow them for life?

You are seriously telling me that if the stadium was just 10 foot outside the city boundary you wouldn't go?

Beyond my comprehension that.

Fair point, but he's not saying another town. He's literally saying 10 feet outside. Two different things entirely.

Not to me it isn't Coventry Means Coventry not Warwickshire not West Midlands not Northamptonshire.

When they announce it, we can make our real choices. When !!
It's not necessarily the position its the size for me and peoples acceptance of our lowly future along with that.

If a new stadium amazingly does come to fruition I won't see whether it is close enough to still feel close enough, I'm getting the trundle wheel and ordinance survey maps out. They're kept next to the soapbox.

So if we moved back to the Ricoh and the Conservative government re-drew city boundaries across the country and the Ricoh was suddenly deemed to be outside the city limits of Coventry, you would just stop going forever?

Perhaps they'll redraw the boundaries now, and Coventry will become a long narrow strip down the A45...

If they build and I repeat if they build this "new" ground and if it is not 100% in Coventry then I will not go.

I stopped going to so called home games because they took my club out of Coventry.
Why would I then start going back if they build a new one outside Coventry.:thinking about:
The distance is irrelevant.

Perhaps we should start a petition to prevent the Coventry Bees from using the cities name when it actually plays in warwickshire.

To be fair I think people just keep telling Sisu in many ways that they just want to be back at the Ricoh.

No because it wouldn't have been done by our owners out of spite.
