An old lady living with just her pet dog writes her Christmas cards, she struggles out of her door to the postbox as she gets there she slips over and a passer by rather then help steals the dog.

Cut to the old lady with bruises and bumps putting up reward posters posters during the advert then she's back at her house looking at a picture of the dog

The dog is left in a cage and the person who stole it is very cruel to it, as the ad goes on the old lady's family gather round for Christmas Day, the dog escapes from the person who stole it

As the old lady's family leave after Christmas dinner she sits down in her chair and hears the dog in the garden barking

Final scene both of them sat in front of a lovely fire reunited

Ohhh...I was expecting an ending of she sits down to eat Christmas dinner and finds that it's not turkey, but her beloved dog instead.

No, the Channel 4 ad is all about someone taking acid. It's a transgender nun with deep psychological problems.
