11 goals in 32 league games for Oldham last season...

Pretty decent signing.

I live very near to a certain Chris Hussey!!!. He told me last week that Norwood wanted to join CCFC but they couldnt match the asking price and they were way off the wages that Barnsley and Huddersfield were willing to offer. Also asked about Crainie and Hussey said that it was vey unlikely him or Keough would start the season!!

Kuqi scored 11 goals in 40 League One games last season plus another 5 in the 9 cup games he played.

His last International goal came against Wales in March 2009.

Earnshaw/Kuqi strike force. A young up and coming forward line !

Get them both and the average age of the squad would still only be about 23.

Hell, bring Maradona to the team and it still wouldn't hit 25.

Well Earnshaw/Kuqi/Kilbane will certainly increase the average age of the squad well above the present 12 !!

I can see what certain posters will be saying - What chance has Thorn got working with a bunch of pensioners.

I think it will be another old mate of Carsley's, so more than likely ex-Ireland or ex-Everton?

Whilst Carsley was at Everton he played alongside James Beattie from 2004 to 2007 (5 England Caps) and also James McFadden from 2003 to 2008 (32 Scotland Caps). Both are currently free agents.

True, just trying to piece together who the options may be though. They have only said 'International Striker', not 'Fully Fit International Striker'.

Much as I'm skeptical until I see them holding/wearing our shirt, it is nice to be talking about people we could sign rather than those who have turned us down/missed out on. If 1 or Fleck/Kilbane/Kuqi/anyone half decent is signed it would be a good start!

Not wanting to add any weight to this or anything but also just remembered they played together at Birmingham as well from 2008 to 2010. That means they were together for 7 years on the pitch. I'd imagine they know each other pretty well.

Earnshaw I could support for a year......Kuqi really, at 35 is not what we should be looking at.
