I agree but i'm just enjoying the win. Today a win was crucial and we got it, with Leon Clarke scoring and Capt Baker it's perfect. Both players are confidence players and can only be a good thing for Crewe on wed. As for Carsley, well we have to remember Shaw's first game in charge we beat Birmingham 3-2...it kinda went downhill after that!

just out of curosity, how many winning games would it it take before lee Carsley was "clearly the manager we need to take us forward"

He doesn't seem to be interested in becoming the manager anyway.
I think he is happy being part of the setup and just wants to keep learning.

He certainly can stay until a proper replacement is found. People need to remember Shaw inherited a mess. It was his first job in management and he had a clueless idiot as a mentor. Robins has put professionalism and discipline inbenefit into the squad. Carseley will benefit from this and will be able to manage the squad in the short term.

Carsley has worked with some great managers including David Moyes where he would have learnt a lot about keeping a tight unit and a hard team to break down like Everton.

I think he said he will only be in charge for 2 games so my reckoning is a new manager will be announced some point before next weekend.

Crawley is better IMO. He even knows he is not ready. Fans may ruin this by asking him to be manager and him taking it. Managers last 5 mins nowadays. Carsley's time will come. It may not be with city.

Carsley is very adept and very astute. It may well not be his time by his own admission. I doubt very much though we will see a pattern anything like Shaws. One thing said by Baker today was they all wanted to do this for Carsley and team spirit had largely been unaffected by the departure of Robins. Moreover he said Robins had built that spirit and belief and there was no reason that should change with this squad.
Those are interesting remarks but clear that they accept Carsley readily to the job.

Is it too son for him? Hmm not sure but if he has doubts himself then yes.
I want the immediate appointment of someone recognised and experienced. Simon Grayson or whoever.
I am more confident though of Carsley's position than anyone else short term though.

It's a bit like McGoldrick. Scoring for fun in league 1 was one thing but can he do it a league higher?
Carsley has done great things with the youth but can he do it higher?
Still confident though that he has the squad behind him and he is no mug.

And we thought Brum were a decent side then, although the league table indicates otherwise now. Great user name btw, Larry. Your theme tune is the perfect soundtrack for our club, the players should run out to it.

Cars leu will do what he needs to do till new Manager can be found, he s learning his trade so will try and keep it simple. Yesterday he did ok, but maybe he could have put subs on earlier. I would have taken Macca of at half time.
