That is the better idea at the moment. Not buying season tickets.
However I bet 5000 fans could rake up a grand each to buy the club for a million. Keep a 50 percent stake in the club with the other 4 million.
Partner up with hoffman and his 5 million. Making him chairman.
Using his investors money to deal with the debt and players wage and the other financial dealings.
We have 5 fans on the board such as keys. Graham heally. Bobby gould. And a rotating 2 seats for fan share holders. Giving us a proper input.
We could even referend major decisions to the the club 5000 owners.
How about it? Club 5000
I'm in for a grand ... who wants to set this up? ??

I think this sort of scheme used to be known as something like 'shares' before big bad SISU came and did the reverse of Robin Hood.....
They took everyone's shares, for nothing.
Time to hand them back........
kduffy thats a typical no mark comment!
I know you could protest at Soton against Sisu! That'll change everything der!!
Do you actually think Sisu give a sh1t.
They are a hedge fund all they are interested in is the balance sheet.
They will do whatever they want and if that means liquidation then that will happen.
So how about some constructive comments?
The more we slip down the leagues the less silly AFC Coventry is going to become.
Think if it was organised properly then the threat of it may make headlines and get Sisu thinking.
Lots of stuff in the business world and white papers in the
government that can be just 'going through the motions' or bluff with little reality at the conclusion of things.
As I said earlier, if they can threaten liquidation then we can
surely threaten AFC Coventry. How the fook would they know how serious it was or not?

If AFC Coventry is such a good idea why hesitate just go and do it. FC Manchester did it and both they and MUFC seem to be doing ok. Because unless you actually form it and start playing then it is no threat at all. Unless you start the club, finance it organise it, sign players and play matches it is just more hot air and havent we had enough of that ?.
Love the arrogance of some CCFC fans - we will just walk into the Butts and take over, sorry ground share. Pitch will be awful for football, it hasnt the parking for the fans you hope for or the seating, oh and Coventry RFU might not welcome it. The council might not licence it and the leagues may not either. It will take a lot of time and effort let alone money and if not successful will quickly flounder imo. Or shall we go to Nuneaton ? sure they will gladly stand aside for us. This isnt CCFC going in there it is a small newly formed uncertain non league team that apparently was only set up to force SISU out going in to someone elses ground very much as the junior club in the arrangement. Good luck with that.
Personally there is only one team for me - it isnt about SISU, GH, JE or even Keys - my team is Coventry City FC always has been and finances willing always will be.
That said if I want to watch a proper football match with passion skill endeavour grit enjoyment etc and to feel involved and part of it - i go watch my lad and his team play (he is 14).
I think the idea needed airing and I applaud that but sorry it doesnt work for me
just my opinion
Whilst we are having blue sky thinking - how many season ticket holders would pay £1 per month - by direct debit? If we all did - say 9000 of us last year that would be the salary of 1 very very decent or 2 or 3 players at league 1 level. This way we would all become very minor stake holders in the club. £1 a month is an amount most season ticket holders could afford I would think. I know people will say that is what the ticket money is for but there are a lot of non player costs - this would be ring fenced money to be spent on players wages only and we might feel we own a bit of the club. Just a thought! PUSB
Why wouldn't you buy a season ticket? I'm looking forward to league 1 and the possibility of a great season for once!
Come on people you are all looking at the negative constantly....is this a Coventry thing?
