I don't know what the dimensions are but fc Copenhagen and the millennium stadium Are used for the speedway grand Prix series. The first few rows are netted off because of the flying grit. but can anyone think of a reason not to use the Ricoh temporarily or permanently? I thinks its a good idea myself

That's the spirit. I'm sure the 95% of people in Coventry who have never been are more than happy to pay for it to remain empty. OK, so it's not being used, but at least it's it's our empty £119M arena.

That'll show 'em.

Don't worry about it.

It's not your council, the Ricoh isn't in Warwick.

You and your mates at sisu aren't having it so it's about time you got used to it.

Yes, I did. I believed Ainsworth and The Times. They got it wrong too.

Astute said:
The last time I posted on here you were stating a true fact that you knew. It was that our club had paid for the land that the Ricoh is built on and got nothing for it. This was proved to be wrong. You then stated that our club paid for the decontamination of the Ricoh site and got nothing for it. I informed you that you were wrong again. Then you were shown the truth. You then went quiet. But guess what? The very next day you made the very same statements again knowing them to be false. I then got blamed for taking the thread off topic when all I did was point out that you were being untruthful again.

I'm not worried about the Coventry council tax payer, SISU or Coventry Council. Only Coventry City Football Club. If SISU got hold of the Ricoh (with caveats from CCC) then I'm be as pleased as punch.

We all want sky blues back at home at the Ricoh. But the fact is we are not there and looks as though we are not returning any time soon. Besides speedway has come on a lot over the years so why not just have a track that can be taken in and out the stadium

If CCfc don't return it can just rot away. If ACL eventually are liquidated for their dispicable treatment of the club I for one will raise a glass in celebration.

Why not? It's as good an idea as any.

The Ricoh belongs to the tax payers/ people of Coventry and can't be sold surely ! The council don't have the right to sell it. Long term lease 100 years. Surrounding land should be sold to Ccfc for developement with profits going into the club this should be the way forward and get our team back in the city where it belongs . Enough is Enough !!!!

Of course they can sell it. The council buy and sell land and property all the time.

No he's not.

His football club Doesn't play there anymore. He isn't a council tax payer to Coventry City council. So whatever happens to the Ricoh isn't anything to do with him.

Whatever happens to something owned by Warwick council(not sure if there is one) is nothing to do with me.

Of course it is. It's our home football stadium (or should be). I've lived outside Coventry the last 3 years, am I not allowed an opinion either. Where someone lives is irrelevant to their opinions on what Coventry City's stadium is used for.

If it was put to a local referendum he, as I, may not be entitled to vote but we can sure as he'll have an opinion and there is nothing you can do to stop that.

Its not our home football ground, sisu have moved on, remembee?

If You lot put as much effort into pressurising tim to build ccfc's new ground as you do wanking off about the Ricoh then can maybe plan for the future.

Don't worry about the Ricoh it'll survive,id be more worried about why our caring owners have made us homeless.

It is a pretty lame arguement, I have opinions about all sorts of things I'm not directly involved with, is that ok with you?

Yes it is but ultimately it'll be none of your business.

The Ricoh is none of my business anyway without CCFC playing there, unless I want to go to a random conference. It is all well and good saying that as a tax payer it is your business, but you have no say at all about it.

Why is this thread under CCFC? Shouldn't it be moved. ACL have nothing to do with the club.

And you come across as a well...I'm not going to say. You're not right. Your argument of "outsiders" and their support of CCFC is pretty pathetic.

I don't want a tin pot 12k ground. As far as I'm concerned it's our ground that sisu have removed us from. I don't give a damn what sisu think.

Im not talking about the support of the football club from outsiders though am i. Don't start twisting my words and lying.

The simple fact is that the Ricoh is naff all to do with you now because your team do not play there.

Why don't you pressure timmy into building the new ground? ?

His opinion on the Ricoh is about as valid as mine about the cafe at Warwick Castle.
