I know it's all spin, helping sell season tickets. However, I think that this level of professionalism can help set TM and MV apart from a lot of other leadership teams.

We know that TM like to pay attention to smaller details surrounding the club, like the fixing of the car park at Ryton, the branding at the training ground etc.

Hopefully this approach will help him with recruitment and also, now he has found difficulties in League One, he goes away and adapts.

As critical as I've been of him, I think he is reflective enough to want to and to try to change.

Call it off season optimism...I'm starting to look forward to next year now!

Personally I started looking forward to next season before the last one finished. The progress made over last season is astonishing, couple that with the fact that we were already looking at next season with regards to players what was there not to get excited about.

First pre season in years I'm actually excited for.

First time I've ever said this before a season starts & thats we're going to get promoted next season (this is based on absolutely nothing just blind faith & the hope the law of averages pays off!)

I think the thing holding me back from this level of positivity was that reallllllly long slump and the fact TM didn't go back to basics, make us hard to beat and build from there (effectively have a plan b!) I'm over that now. Like everyone else, I'm trusting that TM can lead us to better things next year!

I've been one of his biggest critics and would've got rid in March but I have to say, this is great (if true and not just a plot to sell more STs). I've never heard of any manager ever doing this before.

Very proactive and will give the PL clubs a good impression of what we're trying to achieve. Hopefully will help with the recruitment. I just hope that the loans supplement the permanent signings and not the other way round.

This is why it wasn't right to get rid of TM when we were having that horrendous patch. Yes it was horrendous and cost us a top 6 but mistakes are made and lessons are learned. Are we better prepared now? Yes. We won last 4 from 5 games and played well.

Things take time, we were always going to have a bad patch and it was too bad in the end. We aren't suited for the championship anyway with the current structure.

Progress has been made by a whopping 14 points that's almost 5 wins better than last season. With no increase in budget or investment. That's amazing.

We have an experienced hard tough lined manager with a great team of back room staff so we are in the best hands possible.

I wouldn't say lets get excited as such but if burton can do it then we can. We need support from owners and from us fans.

I look back to surviving on the last day last season to this year and it's a massive difference and that's thanks to TM. He can attract good players as proved. We now have a stronger base and just an improvement of one or two wins gets us top 6.

Many have to admit the football and atmospheres this season have been so good, gillingham in particular stands out for me. Never seen it like that really.

Our biggest assets is our manager, trust him and we shall reap the rewards.

I hope it's better than the presentation Michael Owen's agent sent round.

The mid-season form cannot be ignored though. That drop off, and the fact he's got history with it, seriously needs to be addressed.

Talk is cheap. Delivery of objectives is much harder and it's that that will be all that matters.

A year ago I'd never heard of Armstrong, Murphy, etc. I trust TM and MV to get the right players in whether that be on loan or not. Hopefully this coming season we won't be so reliant on the loans and have more of our own players.

I also agree with G, it's a make or break season for TM ,he's got to get it right this season including having a good plan for when it inevitably goes tits up for a period post Xmas

I can't be bothered with all the seasonal sales pitch. What I do know is if Mowbray doesn't get enough nous and steel into the team we're going nowhere. A team full of skilful but skinny kids will just get bullied again. We need a tough centre back, central midfielder and front man to succeed and the keeper needs to be more dominant too.

Totally agree with that. We need a strong spine to the team. Not just in terms of physical strength but also metal strength. A big hard centre back that throws himself at everything and a centre mid always nipping at heels. They're the type of players that always seemed to undo us when we were in the championship and what I always wished we had!
