After the shambles last season I am glad to see dross move on and a host of new players to support.

I think we will have a good season with the squad we have assembled now and I feel another CM in Jennings, possibly a winger with pace and one more striker and we will make a right go of promotion.

Malaga
Edge
Brown
Kilbane
Barton
Fleck
Elliott
Ball

Sisu have caused a lot of trouble at this club but those players from last year just didn't perform at times.

Thorn now has a team which he has hand picked and will be judged on his team this season.

It's going to be a long slog but this our club and let's support the boys.

Finally...someone with positivity

I agree with you AFCC. Yes the new players need time to bed in but give them time and i'm sure they'll be doing great together in no time.

It's time to stop moaning about last year, put it behind us and try and see what this season can bring.

If Thorn screws up or the team under plays then they've got no one but themselves to blame this year.

I think SISU have tried to put some of the wrongs right...not everything i grant you but at least they've gone some way to trying to restore some faith. I wont be sorry to see them go but for the time being we're stuck with them so lets just give them the benefit of the doubt (at least for the time being anyway lol)

So lets get behind the boys and Thorn and see what happens

As George Michael said "You gotta have faith!"

We will conceed goals of course. But teams that always get out are the high scoring teams.

We have to win everything at home at about 40% of our away games.

Fleck, McDonald, Sheff will get plenty of goals. We still need one more striker though.

Cody is brilliant for getting in the right positions. The boy will score 20+ goals easy this season.

Yeah Town is as shit as ever!

We need to turn draws into wins and hit the ground running to get the winning mentality needed to stay around the top of the table 25 wins will do it!

No its called positive reinforcement.

If we were all constantly negative our hair would have turned white ages ago...negativity is linked to stress you know

I agree Dan...if we balls up Yeovil then i can see the team taking that as a serious knock.

If we get a good result from Yeovil then the lads can take that into the next match.

Think of our season as climbing Everest (Or Snowdon...whichever you wanna climb). As we beat the teams we take that next step to the summit. If we lose, well we stay at the bottom or at whichever rest camp we've made it too on the mountain lol

Why so positive ? the club netted a considerable amount of money from selling our two best players & failed to renew contracts on others, we've signed unproven players ,our defence will be a lot weaker than last season & we only have Cody Mcdonald up front,I can't say that i'm very confident :thinking abouth yes we just beat Accrington Stanley :claping hands:

Well give the new guys time ok some players have gone but for me.. we have a stronger team in general than last season. just a ball winning midfielder and striker required and on paper we should be there or there bouts.

Agree, like you say get those couple more signings don't lose anyone and play offs should be a minimum. Just really hope we get the striker and don't lose anyone. The defensive midfielder is a nice to have.

i cant wait either, think fleck is gonna be great

jennings is missing piece,we need at LEASt 3 proper CM's

after that maybe one more winger but other than that we are set as i beleive cody/ball/elliott/rod and jeffers if required can bag enough goals if they are given the service, thats the only question mark for me.

Well we are certainly going to be higher up the league than we were last season!

Friendlies aside ( we've thrashed 3 and lost 4 ) the squad ON PAPER sounds good. We've got some potential midfield maestro's in Fleck and Barton, we've got a 20 goal striker in Cody, what sounds like an aerial rock in Malaga and an experienced head in Kilbane. If we get Jennings that will complete the midfield nicely.

We've got to wait to see what happens with Ball, Brown, Baker, Bell, Elliot, The Edge this season. How many of these players come good could affect how our season pans out. They won't all deliver, some will flop. But if a handful can settle in ( or re-discover form ) then we could be in for a good year.

But first we need to get that winning mentality sorted and I can see us chasing the playoffs early on, rather than sitting in them. But that's ok, we've had 48 years of losing, it will take time to adapt.
