Our best player and has been for a while, class again today.
Our very own slabhead
Incredible find by MR. It's crucial we hold onto him in January.
Very happy with him, though once again he got done for pace in that second half. Twice he seemed favourite for the ball, but their big centre forward outpaced him in dangerous positions just outside our box.
He's garbage, give me Ramage and that suntan twat from a couple of years back! lol
Don't you remember Son Tan Twat? North Korean International.
Looks like he nicked all your credit!
I still think Davies is our best CB but we have three great options there and Hyam has been class this season and Willis not far behind him.
Yep. I too think Davies is the best of the three, but there's very little in it.
He looks quality again, beaten by one long ball over but apart from that he was good. Looks a decent partnership with Willis and maybe taking pressure off Burge
I love this guy
Mr reliable, not the strongest, tallest or quickest but always calm and concentrating and doesn't make mistakes
Well he did today, although very minor ones.
He does remain calm though for sure and that is always a bonus to have in your side.
Great player. Does his job well. Consistently.
Old fashioned centre half. Does the basic things so well. Class act who will go far, hopefully with us!!
Dovetails nicely with Willis. If that's the phrase I'm after? He doesn't have the pace but reads the game well and generally uses the ball well out from the back.
That Moore will give most defences trouble this season, I like Davies, think Hyam is more assured. Tbh Willis was excellent today also.
I like him a lot. Think it's the partnership with Willis that's bringing the best out of him though. He'd look poor paired with a slow CB. Our own Hansen and Lawrenson.
Now, or in their heyday?
In their hay day.
If we played 3-5-2 successfully we've got three defenders more than capable of playing in the higher end of this league. Unfortunately one of them have to sit out and centre back is one area you ideally want a consistent partnership so Davies just needs to bide his time until his chance arises like he did last season.
The New Trevor Peake?
Yeah, maybe, or possibly Peter Ramage.
Bobby Moore wasnt pacey, hardly ever tackled just took the ball off people.
Yep. Think Hyam can learn to read the game a bit better to enable him to compensate for his lack of pace.
He was again beaten far too easily by their big centre forward on one occasion yesterday.
He's still young and hopefully can only get better.
I was having a similar discussion about Paulo Maldini just the other day. There was a stat I was told highlighting how his tackles per game ratio was incredibly low.
IF we had Paulo Maldini we could play with just him and the goalie at the back.
Yeah, a goalie or Burge.
Separate names with a comma.
