Was that the same guy? He looked so much more assured today, taking players on and putting in some good crosses and tackles :-D

I think he had no choice put to perform 2day. Fans are running out of patience with him, but today he was much improved.

Long may it continue.

He looked nervous at the start, you could see the stick he's been getting has got into his head a bit. It was great to see Clingan and Wood put their arm around him near the start, just shows that they all want to play for each other not just themselves.

Put over a great cross to Wood as well which led to Camp's stunning save.

Crossing was improved, defended well and showed a good understanding with Deegan.

Yeah it's not like he says "right, I'll have a good game this week I reckon seeing as I was crap last week" and just flicks a switch!

He was shaky 1st half, at least early on, but grew into the game and was immense 2nd half. Love those dribbles he goes on, which he frankly didn't have in the tank in recent games-the international break has helped I think. Crosses were hit and miss, but the good ones were ruddy superb. I think he turned the corner 2nd half, when he really was back to his best.

Mucho credit to both Wood and, in particular, Deegan. Both made a huge difference to Hussey. Deegan closes down relentlessly and his positioning in that LCM role is absolutely bang on. Oh yeah, and he tackles! Wood was also infinitely better in the air than Cranie has been of late.

All told, having the 2 players that he is in direct "partnerships" with having such solid games-particularly 2nd half-gave Hussey the platform and protection to do what he does best. Shows just how vital it is to have experience and leaders in the side. Hussey has the talent to play top flight football and I think we'll see him kick-on from here now.

Maybe i phrased that wrong, but im sure the critisism he's come in for recently would have been at the back of his mind, and he'd have wanted to show them fans that he can be a good player! I appreciate he's only young and have said in the past, just because he's not come from our academy like others he is still only young and did come from AFC Wimbledon so is just as inexperienced as our other youngsters

But you have to admit, the cross that led to the wonder-save was mint.

And I'll counter your "didn't beat his man first half" with "regularly beat his man second half".

humm im not so sure about that,i like him when hes direct and it seems hes lost some confidence there, probably cos fans sigh so damn loud when everything doesnt come off pefectly

was it his cross for woods header? yeh was class,i preffered christies though for jukes bullet header, christie has a beckham esque cross when he has time to set himself

I thought he was fairly good today, he's definitely better going forward than he is defensively though. Possibly better suited to playing in midfield for me.

Bloke behind me started berating him for giving the ball away in the first half.....only problem was it was Juke on the ball, some of our fans are such nobs

I just wish him and Christie would bomb on more when the midfielder has got the ball. Soooo often we were screaming out for the fullbacks to stretch Forest and give them something to think about. It also results in our strikers spending more time on the flanks than any other team IMO.

Fair play to the lad though, after an awful first half, he really improved. Still think Christie is a better crosser though.

Have to agree to a point, he put some good crosses in but some woeful crosses in also. On his most adventurous run poor touch saw him run the ball into touch. :Looks shaky to me and lacking confidence.

I think Hussey is no more than a decent Championship left back.

We shouldn't expect too much from him. So far, he has been competent defensively and offers a little offensively.

Nothing for us to be excited or worried about. Plus ca change

I think some people need to remember where he's come from and how inexperienced he is. This is his longest run in the side, a side that's won 2 in 11, off field turmoil and impatient fans. He's young and learning on the job, I think he's a confidence player and the groans don't help. You could see Clingan and Wood encouraging him today.

Fans need to be patient with him.
